Even though I get pissed when I see black people doing fucked up shit, I always remember that the American black (good and bad) is the sum of their entire journey from slavery to where they are today. Could they have risen above all of the horrors endured at the hands our ancestors? Yes, but largely they're damaged as a people/culture.

When you think about what happened to them after being freed, and for the amount of years they had to deal with being treated like sub-humans is it any wonder they're like this?

I'm still pissed, and don't think what I just said is their excuse to act like animals -- but it's the cause. It's a monster we created as a nation.
