    Anyone Here Take Provigil?

And if so, is it as good as it sounds?

I saw that last night and does sound pretty amazing, though I'm leery of any "super" drug that has no side effects...

If you notice any kind of rash stop immediately, as the rashes can become serious. Do not take if you're a bit depressive as it can make you suicidal.

"Provigil can also cause psychiatric symptoms, including anxiety, mania, hallucinations and suicidal ideation. The company advises caution when the drug is given to patients with a history of psychosis, depression or mania. If psychiatric symptoms develop, consider discontinuing the drug. "

This is a site where people share their experiences

              http://www.askapatient.com/viewratin...VIGIL&sort=age

There are no long term studies, so you'll be one of the lab rats. Some of those who've taken it longer term complain of side effects relating to the digestive system, ringing in the ears, and memory problems. Generally taking a drug like this will knock something else out, we do need sleep for a reason, so if we override sleep there will be consequences.

I've never taken it myself, but it sounded interesting based upon a recent TV piece, and the article I linked at the top.

I found out that someone I know HAS been taking it for years. She says it costs around $2,000 p/month.

She is an insane person, either because of the drug, or more likely she was already insane, and the drug's side effects make her more so.

As people have already stated, all drugs will have consequences, and the long-term studies for this one just don't exist yet.

Oh well, as the old saying goes, if it sounds too good to be true...
