Balvenie is one of my favorites. You really should try the 17yr old "Rum Cask" one. It is about 130 a bottle but worth every penny imo.

I am thinking the Pakistani fella at my local liquor store doesn't stock that, I went into a nice place that had some high end padlocked stuff in a glass case the other day, I will check there.

It's not Balvenie, it's "THE BALVENIE." My favorite. Huge super liquor store here occasionally has 3-packs of airplane bottles of various Scotches. You get to try 3 different years of Scotch for the same brand. 15 year is probably best bang for the buck, but 21 is damn great. Just not worth the extra cash. One of my favorite bars undercharges for The Balvenie. $4.50, a shot most places that's a $12.00 drink.

Balvenie is a nice scotch. If you like something smokey, try an islay. Bowmore I like. Their darkest blend has a lot of sherry notes. Personal favorite is Lagavulin. Its got a ton of smoke to it. Also had a vintage Caol Isla at a pub, but I've never been able to find it again
