I have 3 of them:
1st was when I was 25, I got a unicorn breast inside a heart on my right ankle
2nd was when my husband and I were together for 20 years and I had him design his name on a bouquet of Cherokee Roses on my left shoulder
3rd one is my diabetes medical id that my 14 yr old designed for me and it is on my right inside wrist. I got sick of breaking the bracelets and it isn't like I will ever be cured, so it's there in case something happens. It's the only one I couldn't hide if I wanted to. I started tattooing myself at a very early age "10" I started with a smiley face on one knee and a cross on the other knee, dots on my knuckles and wrists, they were done with a sewing needle wrapped in cotton wool with printers ink. aged 11 I had my name tattooed on my arm while on holiday, and that was in a tattoo shop! in those days the tattoo artists would tattoo anyone, at any age, I dont think that would happen these days, I had several other tattoos up to the age of 17, my tattoos sometimes swell up and itch like crazy 35 years later, maybe its the poison in the ink, probably lead or some other chemicals. oh well you live an learn.
