I had emergency surgery when I was 15 because I was jaundice from it. Stupid doctor was treating me for ovarian cysts because normally someone that young doesn't have gallbladder issues. I had to be cut open due to the amount of gallstones and they were also in my ducts. My recovery time was 3 weeks with tons of staples and stitches.

But most people have laser surgery now which is pretty minimal with only a few days of recovery time. Very small incision. You will be feeling better in no time.
