Cannabidol (CBD) strains of cannabis are readily available, and are excellent for pain relief.
CBD is non-intoxicating. Medical marijuana patients who appreciate the euphoric effect of high-THC cannabis will probably not favor high-CBD strains.
On the other hand, cannabis patients who want the anti-spasm or anti-inflammatory effects of cannabis delievered without an accompanying "high" might prefer a high-CBD strain.
High-CBD cannabis is potentially effective, according to European and Israeli researchers, in easing the symptoms of rhumatoid arthritis, diabetes, nausea, and inflammatory bowel disorders, among other difficult-to-control conditions.
I recommend Jamaican Lion and Harlequin.

They are both very worthwhile and very similar.

Cannabis will allow you to get cannabinol alone,
or additionally an antagonized coexistence with cannabidiol.
Smoking pure hemp will give you virtually unadulterated cannabidiol,
which is very different than when it is in combination with the other cannabinoids.
