I was drinking 4 big mugs a day of coffee for years, but stopped cold turkey 2 weeks ago. It is driving me insane. I really really miss the taste of coffee.
I quit because I have trouble sleeping at night and thought it might be coffee, but its not the case.Comment

Makes me feel awake for a short while in the morning and helps me get into the zone. But I've found it is mostly the SMELL not the actual drink. If I put a very strong smelling cup next to me and take just a sip it has 90% if not all of the impact without actually drinking it. Makes me sleep bad at night though.Comment

If you are putting sugar in your coffee, you may be getting that sugar crash. Does that to me in the morning, but if I drink coffee in late afternoon I light up like a christmas tree.I've noticed lately that the more coffee I drink the less energy I seem to have. In my teens and twenties, drinking coffee seemed to give my body a burst of energy that lasted from cup to cup. Now, in my early thirties, coffee seems to suck the life out of me instead of providing any boost.
