I have lived in the UK, New Zealand and Spain - All three OK for biz - I have a valid passport for all three (UK PP is ok for Spain) and yep, you have to pay taxes in all three....

Spain is the most difficult place for biz but thats mainly because of language and the red tape they have for EVERYTHING....

If I may:

Is it safe for easily intimidated foreigners?

Do you still have ties to Germany for health insurance etc or do you do it all locally?

If you want a great place to live, very safe, friendly, lots to do and good low taxes for business, move to Malta.

I lived there for 1 year and it was great. All year round nice weather, cheap flights to most European countries with Ryanair, everyone speaks English, eating out and having fun is super cheap, you can get great 2 bedroom modern apartments for under $1,000 in a fantastic location.

Edit, just checked the USD>EUR conversion, you can get an amazing modern 2 bedroom apartment for $1,000. When I was there the exchange rate was shitty and my place cost $1500 a month for 3 bedrooms and 3 min walk to the centre of town. Now my place would have cost less than $1130 or so.

Man, I don't think the EU countries are so gracious towards the Turkie immigrants. Turkey is not a part of the EU and never will be, as well as the Muslim Turkie culture will not be accepted well there. You (not you personally) are just so different... Just sayin'

Running a company in the EU opens you a lot of possibilities, unless you have the attitude you just gave to our Turkish buddy.

I have a company in EU since 2001, but I'm talking about a little bit different thing. I'm talking about the culture-related problems he may face there. I'm as a Russian citizen had no any problem in EU, USA and even in the Emirates. However, I know a lot of stories about people from Muslim counties that had serious issues in the EU (especially there because the States are still more tolerant towards other cultures).

Actually it's better to ask the EU guys directly.

Low profile fuckers sneak here and there as usual, but i hope we talk serious people here.
I would ask the guy first if he is religious at all... EU countries get more color if you go west and hide in the north if you know what i mean.

Keeping a low profile is a good idea no matter where you live but having to hide means you're in the wrong place.

Totally agree about hiding part. Low profile - I meant those immigrating illegally.

I have and yes it's different from many of the EU countries. Istanbul is modern, yet drive 20 km outside the city and see what's there. I the Turkish community in Hamburg noticeable, in it's own areas and with it's own mosques?

Now show me the German community in Brno or Hamburg or London and the English community, French, Italian or do we blend in more?

I'l add following regarding CZ residence:
Except company you can also get trade license which is cheaper, you can also get a job,and last what is also funny-get visa if you get GF there.I dont know does any other country in world gives visa simply based on relationship,in most cases you need to be married. There are other type misc visa types like student visa, bank account visa, research visa, etc. But those 3 which i mentioned are most common. You can also visit this url to get more info about registration process:
http://www.tradelicense.cz/
In shortly no country beats CZ when it comes to easiness of immigration.I think all porn people should move there ;)

Depends on where you are originally from. I was choosing between CZ, Poland and Slovakia. They have different requirements. Very different, that helped me to make MY choice.

Brazil, if you live together you can get a visa.

Uruguay, if you can prove you earn 500 USD per month, you get a visa and after 5 years a passport also. Don't need a girlfriend for that.

Been there many times and I have to say it's a very different country to Russia, EU, USA etc.. The worst thing you notice there (not in Istanbul which does really look like almost secular city) is their attitude towards the foreign women.

2AtlantisCash: No offense please. I know there are good and bad people in any country.
