Ok maybe you didn't exactly trash it - I take that back, and offer an apology. Still though, it would be nice to see more helpful suggestions to people around here sometimes.

I just tried his site now and it looked like problems with the css on the main page. When I hoovered over 1 girl she disappeared. I tried entering a chat room and the video didn't load, and the user list showed IP addresses instead of usernames (ouch!). One of the photos of the girls is advertising for some other website - possibly a competitor? Ouch...

I had the identical experience in Chrome, lots of little glitches. I understand those will be worked out, I was just more concerned with only 2 live models for the launch. I don't really see any difference in your comments than mine, if I'm launching a site I want to know exactly what other webmasters think of it no matter how critical it may be. To me, that is being helpful.

Server is going nutty. I'm re-launching it in a couple hours when we can figure out the issue. I wanted to test the site out with a few models at first which is why there weren't many on. Apparently it didn't even like that.

Good luck buddy! Its incredibly hard to get the balance of models and tippers during your firsts months of launch.

Launch a new cam site is the most complicated and risky thing it can be made on internet - in fact an mmorpg game does not include needing to explain a naked blonde what buttons to click, or to deal with GFY trolls. So the normal glitches at launch it means nothing, what it matters it is the site after 3-6 months really: is it up? does it have many models and guys chatting?
When we launched tubecamgirl there was so many glitches including chat did not post at all and video server crashed every hour, that we put it offline for days. I seen the start of some today's big sites, long long ago, and some was fail looking, what it matters it is how the site goes after 6-12 months guys, not the launch - as sites also may change quickly everything to fix what's wrong, so in the end look totally opposite of launch idea.

About the idea if 30 min free then should drop $1, we will see how it goes, not commenting on that, we are of the forever free way as mfc and chaturbate or cam4 does, never tried to limit and what it brings. I remember I seen this time limit for earlier tube sites, and there is for file lockers (wait 30 min before download next file free), unsure I seen this in cam sites, but if a guy invested 30 minutes of own time watching the site (and 30 min it is a lot of time believe me - most may stay in sites less than 5 min really), he may like it enough to drop a dollar, could be, it also depends what girl is online as he will care to specific girl and not to how the site logo or name it is.

Making 1 credit = $1 I like. Why to use the token thing as it requires lots of math to figure what is spent and earned in dollar via conversion of 15 or 30 or so cents? We made 1 = $ in tubecamgirl, call $1 simply and no one complained.

Camwithher is around from many years so it is not just a guy with idea, is a guy with site who adds another site and this is way more stable thing. So waiting for site to be up and I may comment on the real thing. There is so few new cam sites launched per year I sincerely say good luck to the rare event of a launch of a competitor, and wait with popcorn to see it going, like it was The Avengers 2 movie.

You know what I would really love to see on GFY? Is the a whole network of people working together to help a single business launch.

For example : ClassyCams.com is launching today. Sure he will have a few cute girls on it but everyone knows the site will fall flat if it has no traffic. The girls, pissed that they aren't making any money, will login less and less until they are gone completely and working on other sites instead.

It would be amazing if GFY'ers could bring their skillets together to help this site out. If a bunch of affiliates signed up and sent traffic to Classycams they would have a really good chance of succeeding, even with just a few models logged in at any time.

Yes of course some affiliates won't do it, and others will be too anxious if it doesn't convert, etc. Some will bitch and moan too but thats where networking comes in. Communication with the site owner is the key.

ClassyCams is our competitor. They are not using our software and I have no vested interest. I am only instead speaking from experience. We have done well for ourselves over the years despite the occasional trashings and uphill battle against the big guys. We had virtually zero help from affiliates, but lots of help from PPC providers fortunately. For all the hand-shaking and ass-patting and bro-mances that go on here, it would be nice to see a plan whereby a new program gets an overwhelming level of support instead of the usual dismissals from the pissed-off-forever crowd.

It is also wrong to assume that there's no way to compete against the big guys - there are many. Yes they have megabucks for marketing but the truth is that not everyone likes the MFC's or LiveJasmins of the world. Sometimes they like something different. Trust me I am speaking from first-hand knowledge.

Are you sure people with much and good cam traffic it is in GFY at all?
And that those few who have the traffic, are into affiliation program, rather than sell it as prepaid spot with fixed price, or per click, without take any revshare risk?

I track from where our best affiliates are coming from, and this is not from GFY posts really. Posting the affiliate link in a mainstream seo or black hat forum (where I see crakcash people to post too hehe...), or those forums in russian language, it brings more people and with more traffic. Mostly they are from india, serbia, philippines and places like that, they work harder than lazy westerns and are more up-to-date with methods - but seen a good minority from UK and the such too.
The only big affiliate I got with a GFY post as http referrer, said he found such GFY post via a google search of "alternative to chaturbate", landed to the post, seen my link and he done with GFY, possibly never returned to it. Why he (or any else) should return to GFY, given 90% of the posts are about Obamacare, UFO's, copyright copies drama or other offtopics?

And, as you said, if there is one rare post about the launch of a site, people simply trolls there and no one joins the affiliate program or sends a single visitor?

I don't think that will take you anywhere, a freeloader is a freeloader and a paying member is a paying member, i think you'll just upset the paying members and the freeloaders will just go away, which is not a bad thing, but they sometimes entertain the models.

I might be wrong, but i don't see how that will land you on the Moon. Just offer some nice big discounts to get the site started, come up with promotions both for members and models or even studios. Offer members something extra for their bucks, free videos, X amount of free credits on each X amount of credit purchase or whatever, you understand what i mean.

Nobody cares that much about anything else but price and models and a user friendly site.

lol that just about sums it up right there. My programmers are still looking into why the bump in traffic on ClassyCams caused the server to crash. I'm hoping to have the site back up by Monday but ya never know with this stuff.

I will definitely let you guys know when it's back (and stable with a good number of models online). I'll also make an update when the new promo tools are ready.

Just as an update to this, unfortunately we discovered that the software we are running can not support the traffic we were pushing to the site and needs to totally be re-worked to support such traffic. I'm told it could take anywhere from one week to one month...ugh.

On the bright side, the site did seem to have potential for the brief time it worked. I will keep everyone updated on the site and promo materials when everything is working and stable. Sorry for the delay. I should have waited to post here until after the launch.
