First of all, I'm new to GFY. However, at the beginning of 2011, I began working at Manwin as a software developer. Not so long ago, I decided to quit a Team Lead Software Developer role at Manwin and start my own venture. So I'm not new in the porn industry, specially the porn software industry.
During the last 6 months, I have been working on a software where Surfers/Models/Paysites/Producers create an account and share some of their work or update to the Surfers. These people will be able to upload videos in their account and share it to the public or only friends in their friends list.
The good part is that the people that uploads the content will be able to set the maximum download rate of their content. So, let's say that you want to promote a new scene of yours, you could upload the full scene in HD format and set the download rate to be 50kb/sec.
Then, if people wants to download faster, they would have to register at your paysite or buy fast bandwith on our site.
If someone buys a membership at your site, you would get 100% of the sale. No rev-share here. However, let's say bandwith buyer download your videos, you would get paid for it.
So, let's say someone pays X$ for 15GB of bandwith on our site. Let's say that they spend 5GB downloading your videos. You would get 33% of all profit made from selling this account.
I want to make this platform very clean. There would be no ads on the site itself, except for the promotion of the bandwith program. However, the site itself would be promoting people's pages, thus your content and paysites (where you get all refererred sales, like explained above).
Since people control how fast their content gets downloaded, since people control the visibility of their videos (public/friends only/private) and since you get all referred sales to your paysite, would any of you guys be interested in this kind of site?
Think of it like a mix of apple (for being clean), facebook (for the community aspect of the site) and youtube (for the video aspect of the site), but only for porn. I want to work with content owners here and share the profit with them.
I strongly believe that a platform like this would make good content stand out from bulk content, and make good content producers a lot of money with few amount of content. After all, this worked well in mainstream - and people socialize well in porn as well (the /r/gonewild subreddit works very well).
