                      Because people in general are idiots. I'm sure there are a small amount of tongue-in-cheek comments, but that was within the first hour or 2 of the SCOTUS decision. Canada doesn't have Obama/Romneycare. They have a socialized system whereas the ACA is NOT government run healthcare and is definitely not socialist. Money is paid to private, for-profit insurance companies under the ACA, not a tax to the gov't.

                          I thought under obamacare that we got to pay for the health care costing us about 1k per year and if we did not pay and refused we were facing jail time.

                                                              it is socialized medicine, only difference is the mechanism by which people pay for it. over time it will become more like Canada's system. there was no way Obama or any other president could force a Canadian like system down people's throats, especially the fucking health insurance companies and every other corporation that enjoys gouging people who are sick, income taxes would have had to be raised a serious amount.

If your not going to make decent money, whats the point of being a doctor in America, The best doctors will leave, and practice in other countries...

We pay more taxes then 90% of everyone else and have sub par heath care, high taxes and lots of fat cats on welfare.

                                                                                                                                                                                          I knew them because they came to see my band play at bars there.

                                                                                                                                                                                          They all could have gotten a job...if they wanted to. People gaming the system shouldn't be a partisan "dem vs repub" issue. It should be stopped immediately.

                                                                                                                                                                                              The best scenario for being admitted to Canada seems to be: be on welfare, with zero chance of fitting in or wanting to, also your job skills should be zilch. If you fit this criteria you have a chance.

My friend is just about crippled and has been fighting social security for 4 years, I don't think its as easy to get as a lot of people think.
