Question about the new Health Care

So, Does it cover people that can not afford insurance? Is it income based?
Will it be like my friend who keeps renting bigger houses and gets more foodstamps since her bills are higher?

All I keep seeing is that you Must purchase it unless exempt, or pay a fine.

So if Exempt, are you covered? What is Covered? Is there a deductible, or you just go to doc anytime you want for whatever you want and it is covered?

Was this just a bill forcing everyone to get covered. and they will roll out a cheap one for you to buy???

From what I understand if you fall withing certain financial guidelines you will get assistance in paying for the health insurance. The less you make the more help you will get so many people will end up getting it for free.

A while back they had a breakdown of what the income levels and amount of assistance was, but I can't seem to find them right now.

Any idea on what type of Coverage this would be? There are huge differences in Coverage in Different companies.

My insurance is a $20 Co-Pay and almost everything is 100% covered.
My Sisters is a $50 Co-Pay, has huge deductables and only covers 60% and has to use doctors on a list.

Insurance companies are probably twirling their moustaches.

Prior to the ruling, which may have changed this, anyone under a certain level of income would basically get the equivalent of Medicaid which has low co-pays and covers pretty much all the normal stuff. Beyond that I think you get tax credits or other funds and you can choose the care you want from the companies that are available to you in your area.

How about the bigger picture? the government now controls healthcare. it is no longer going to be your choice what doctor you see, and not the doctors choice what patients they will accept. If you own your own practice, your screwed. and doctors with their own practice are already making 1/2 what they did 4 years ago. thats why so many have shut down, retired, or went back to a hospital to work. and it will be getting much worse soon.

“I would say it would affect nobody,” Antos said. He said Republicans’ dislike of the requirement has much more to do with their opposition to “the federal government telling you to do something that is your personal business” than the fear that the mandate will force millions of people to buy something they don’t want.

The poorest Americans are technically exempt from the mandate. But under the law’s Medicaid expansion, which also begins in 2014, they would get essentially free coverage anyway — because the program would cover people with incomes up to 133 percent of the federal poverty level. That would be about $30,000 for a family of four if the law were in effect this year.

Those with incomes between 133 percent and 400 percent of poverty — between around $30,000 and $92,000 for a family of four this year — will have to get insurance, but the law provides substantial subsidies to help make it more affordable.

Families at the bottom of this range would have to pay only 3 percent to 4 percent of their income in premiums, while those at the top would have to pay 9.5 percent. The federal government picks up the rest of the tab.

The court threw out the medicaid "expansion" as re-inventing medicaid and illegally forcing states to pay for it.

Many of the most expensive changes don't happen for several more years. The biggest i tax hike, to pay for it, in 2018 I think. (Also the biggest tax hike in world history.)

For now, low income people see few changes. Middle income people must buy BO approved insurance. Since you have to cover therapeutic massage and crap, expect rates to go up maybe 40%. If your plan is VERY good, there's a 40% tax on that.

Long term, as everything goes into affect, just picture the typical federal program - FEMA meets the TSA, while the officials in charge party with Colombian hookers on your dime.

Watched the Video, not the answers I am looking for.

I just want to find out if these people posting on FB are sheep or if they are covered.
They keep going on and on about their special needs children being covered now and for free.
Others talking about how they can now go to the doctor for free.
