Want your own Air Force?
Carbon is not the problem, it makes up 0.041% of our atmosphere , 95% of that is from Volcanos and decomposing plants and stuff. So people in the US are responsible for 13% of the carbon in the atmosphere which 95% is not from Humans, like cars and trucks and stuff and they want to spend trillions to fix it while Solar Panel plants are powered by coal plants

My friend flies planes like these. Helicopers too. He's an idiot. He drops $1k on a plane or something, and manages to fly it for all of fifteen minutes before crashing it. He does this every month on payday, and it's painful to watch.Herschel Savage

That is a cool plane. Like rochard though I can't really see the logic behind getting into model jets. Its so expensive and the pay out is just too small. Fifteen minutes of fun before you crash and fucking burn.Comment

You dont sink a lot of money and most importantly, your time, into aircraft like these when you're still a newbie pilot... well not more than once, anyway. Unless you're just really stupid. I've seen guys that wont listen to anyone, think they can handle a fast & heavy WW2 fighter as their first plane, and take it home in a garbage bag.
Nobody will sign you off on a turbine waiver in the USA if you cant demonstrate that you can safely and successfully fly a turbine aircraft. You can fly without a waiver, but you wont be covered by the AMA and nobody is going to help you out if they know you dont have a turbine waiver, which means you wont be flying at a nice club field and absolutely not at a tournament or show.Comment

Insurance
It's funny, one of the local counties Parks & Recreation requires $2,500,000 liability for a r/c plane and $1,000,000 liability for a r/c boat.
Requirements to drive a real car, $300,000 liability.
Betting the r/c rates are cheap.Comment

$58 per year for AMA membership covers:
$2,500,000 personal liability insurance coverage
$25,000 Medical Coverage-AD&D Policy ($10,000 Death Benefit)
$1,000 Fire, Theft, and Vandalism coverage
However, that only covers you at AMA fields, which most county or city flying areas are part of.
I have an off-site $500k policy for a little over $100 per month which coversme anywhere, but only when doing aerial photography or video. Also covers my aircraft for up to $10k in crash damage.Comment
