I'd like to thank everyone who has made a contribution to our efforts in the past few days.

We only exist through industry support and we while we have made significant progress we still have more sites to shut down and more sites to deprive of profit from copyright infringement.

There is a group of people that feel that while pursuing AK's path has significant impact on the issue the real problem lies with the people uploading and posting links to infringing content and performing the actual IP Theft. These are in fact the real thieves and are taking advantage of the affiliate systems of the Storage Providers.

Look through some of the old North American DBS Anti-Hacking actions. The ground work for a whole new sub-niche of action against uploaders is there.

As mentioned previously here Lumfile is known by the staff and operators of WJunction to allow CP and is allowed to continue to post there with this being common knowledge of the entire staff. The owners and Admins are fully aware that LumFile does not remove content. There are a few threads started by me in the staff section there about this, screenshots were posted of it and this played a large role in my departure and actions against Simon/Capone. Lumfile was contacted many times about removing that content and did nothing. They ignore all Take Downs.

Hope I did not create too much shock or discomfort here with this post.

An incentivised file locker, one which provides a payment either for sales or downloads, is not hoping people will upload videos of their grandmothers 100th birthday. They are wanting people to upload popular content such as Hollywood movies, Porn, Software, Games and so on.

If the file lockers don't exist then the uploaders lose incentive to upload.

Those who do it for shits and giggles, or for kudos will be picked off by other means. However the majority do it for profit. We remove the profit, therefore remove the uploaders.

The incentivised file locker model is rotten to the core, it will be wiped out and we are going to do it.

We have largely wiped out Paypal as a payment system for file lockers, now we're cutting off other forms of payment. We'll keep cutting away until they're left with bit coins, at which time most will have folded.

If you have sent anything recently then we have not received it.

We're well aware of Lumfile and it's not alone in the existence of child pornography, rape, bestiality, incest and snuff content.

One thing we have found is that where there is scant regard for intellectual property rights there is also scant regard of laws pertaining to the possession and distribution of illegal content.

His reason for returning to WJunction was to increase profits rather then to remain in business. He disclosed this fact in a IM Chat to me when I confronted him about his new association with WJunction. It appears he prefers to be associated with a site known for piracy and profits.

Look at his history, first being involved with Elite Torrents that saw someone jailed, then being involved in a huge scareware antivirus scam for which he was found liable and now owes Washington State over $500k.

Domain seizures are taking place right now.

Your failure to understand that this was a very real outcome is typical.

Keep an eye on the news, domains are being taken globally.

It is very typical indeed - pirates and piracy apologists always fail to understand anything which doesn't fit their views of the utopian world where everything is free for grabs.

We are cutting down new file lockers as soon as they appear and keeping on top of existing file lockers who try to game the system with Paypal or other processors.

Site like FileMates.com who think they can return to Paypal also find their accounts terminated and frozen.

Another interesting site is Lumfile.com - they are having severe problems trying to keep payment arrangements in place.

This month they are lying to their affiliates about the status of their credit card processing in order to keep people uploading.

First they lost the ability to rebill, then we believe that they had their account suspended, now they are scrambling for options. In the meantime they are shaving sales from affiliates as they cannot afford to pay them.

We'll keep hitting file lockers at every level. No file locker site that we have covered on the Stop File Lockers blog should feel safe. They are all targets and we will keep working to shut them down.

There will come a point where, when all payment options are gone, file lockers will just close - unable to monetize stolen and illegal content any longer.

bitcoin is more of a novelty than anything else. It doesn't mean it can't be used for serious gain but don't expect to gain a lot of market share with something that's obscure to the general public.

Also, if things are bad enough with a service they'll just seize their servers.

Bitcoin might be a solution until the file locker has it's domains seized, hosting providers raided and servers seized and other assets seized.

Don't make the mistake of thinking there is a way for file lockers to survive long term, we are attacking them at every level and from every angle.

In what is being described as the biggest domain crackdown since US Homeland Security seized more than 70 domains in 2010, Italy has targeted more than two dozen BitTorrent, cyberlocker and other file-sharing sites. The Public Prosecutor of Rome has ordered the blocking of Rapidgator, Uploaded, BitShare, NowVideo, VideoPremium and many others, warning that he will progress the action internationally in order to properly seize their domains.
The action is being billed as “A Monster from Rome” and when you look at the scale and implications that’s hard to contest.

The Public Prosecutor of Rome, Italy, has targeted a total of 27 file-sharing related sites, said to include BitTorrent, cyberlocker and other linking services.

All of their domains have been blocked at the ISP level and are inaccessible in Italy. The prosecutor has already indicated that he wants to progress the case internationally in pursuit of full-blown domain seizures.

Currently a partial list of domains has been released which features Rapidgator, one of the world’s largest file-hosting sites and one that has drawn the ire of key Hollywood and music industry groups in recent times. Also included are Uploaded, BitShare, NowVideo, NowDownload, VideoPremium, QueenShare and ClipsHouse.

“The domains of sites linking to torrent files, in order to download illegal copies of music and movies, have been seized [blocked] this week as ordered by Preliminary investigation of the Judge of Rome, at the request of the public prosecutor, following an investigation of the Italian Cybercrime Police,” reads a statement obtained by TorrentFreak.

The action is being described as the largest domain-focused crackdown since US Homeland Security seized more than 70 domains in May 2010. TorrentFreak requested a full list of blocked domains but was informed that it’s currently unavailable and will be released in due course.

Fulvio Sarzana, a lawyer with the Sarzana and Partners law firm specializing in Internet and copyright disputes, is concerned by the developments.

“I think that operations like this one could jeopardize freedom of speech, and endanger legitimate web sites, being also a risk for the civil liberties. Copyright cannot be considered as a more essential right than freedom of expression, or a more important matter than a free and open internet,” he said.

While it’s normally presumed that the major movie and record companies sit behind these types of aggressive actions, Sarzana – who has assisted service providers and file-hosting sites in the past – says in this instance the complainant is a small player.

“The order of the seizure of the websites has been given at the request of a small Italian distributor for one single cartoon movie: it is clear that there is not any proportion between the seizure of entire sites (and domains) containing millions of legal files and the potential violation of the copyright of a single movie,” he concludes.

Update:

Contrary to early reports there are no BitTorrent sites included among the 27 sites. The full list is published at the bottom of this article and a complete list of all the blocked sites in Italy can be found here.

The domains are currently blocked only on the DNS level which means that if users switch to OpenDNS or Google DNS they can access the sites again.

It also seems he knows "Lumfile" might end up being closed and has started a new filehost named "ZeFile.com" The site has all of Lumfiles CSS/JS and contains the same analytics code.


Now the proof I can't really post here but it has been passed on to the FBI and other child protection agency's. but the simple fact is he owns and runs sites with underage content. and hosts it on Lumfile further proving his guilt.

Now the sad part? I tried to get Lumfile/ZeFile banned from WJunction but M/Hawk wouldn't ban even when I sent a picture of a girls face to him and he said she was underage.

This is popular in Italy, since most gambling sites are unreachable from years and every site explains how to set opendns or googledns. It is very easy for police in Italy to order blacklisting domain names for any reasons, you can even sue someone because he write something about you that you don't like in his site, and judge order to wipe his domain from dns.
