We should all make a contribution. I'd say this is a lot more productive than donating $300 a month to the non stop merry go round of content removal services. I seriously doubt that even they would want the file lockers to die since that is also their source of business.Comment

They are, however I am hoping we're starting to have a small deterrent effect.
We're working through a long list, but it's hard work involving analysis, research, consultation with payment processors and authorities, compilation of data and then finally choosing a course of action.
I wont stop this until I tear the illegal file locker industry apart.Comment

Dammit you're now going to have alot of unwanted attention from the pro-piracy crowds. They can also try to undermine your efforts by sending thousands of surfers angry that they're about to lose their beloved freebies, to call Paypal and to send them letters. They can set thousands, probably even hunderds of thousands people to action. Pro-piracy crowd is huge and vocal.

This is an issue that politicians left and right can get behind if it is framed the right way.
AK, now that you are getting some leverage with PayPal and others in the media, this would be a good time to bring in politicians and government watchdog agencies, since they like it when much of the legwork is done for them, so that they can just come in and grandstand, and maybe pass a law or two.
I haven't read the entire thread, so I'm curious if Manwin or some of the other big adult companies have joined in yet to help with this effort?

I'm not only going to guess a big fat NO on that, but I'm going to tell you why.
1) They are in tight with the FSC who will later come out and claim this victory as their own.
2) They own pirate sites themselves. Tubes and file lockers.
3) They are profiting in other ways from piracy.
But I'll let AK tell us what's up. Maybe they have and are laying low key. But note none of them are posting in his threads. Not even a thank you.Comment

I have had a few hundred dollars in donations, none of which came from big porn players as far as I can tell. One guy donated $300 but I have no idea what he does.
Nathan from Manwin offered to pay for some extra writing I wanted done but he's gone quiet on me and didn't follow through. Perhaps I was supposed to give him a figure or something, I don't know. I guess his intentions were to help a little, but it hasn't happened as yet.
I can only tell who's supporting me from these threads and the occasional icq message of support.Comment

That idiot squillion rep is wordy as fuck. She condemns them "evil pornographers" for expoiting women who suffered a child abuse (wtf?), but of course she's only angry when we profit from our work ourselves. She absolutely doesn't mind using those "abused" women to earn HER company huge profits.
I just checked our DMCA log - we have sent one take down notice to squillion 3 days ago and amazingly, that link is still active (!). That idiot rep is loving her piracy profits so much that she doesn't even respond to legit takedown notices, which is something short of amazing. She condemns "evil pornographers" of exploiting women that were "abused in the childhood", and yet not only she does nothing to stop porn from being "shared" at her site, she'll even decline to take down porn videos upon legit DMCAs from copyright holders. Now talk about greed and stupidity...
I thought I've seen and heard everything that pirates have to say, but this dumbfuck rep set the record of doubletalk.
