I'd like to keep the Blog for the Stop File Lockers project, I don't see any other type of website helping in any way. Are you saying the design is crap ? If so it's Thesis on Wordpress so we could skin it if someone wanted to have a go at it.

In Updates: 12 resellers who were selling various file locker memberships are now terminated processing with Paypal. 9 of those resellers have lost Moneybookers and 1 has lost 2CO as payment options.

It's not crap, but like someone else mentioned, it's confusing and "hard to follow".

You could make a well designed, professional looking site (mainstream crowd would take it more serious) with all the info on the project, and have a link to blog section with all the current updates.

Currently:

- The screnshots are pointless because they are too small to read.
- Too many posts and they are too long to read through.
- Too many random links all over.
- Personally for me, it's easier to get the info from this thread than from the blog.

IMO, the first thing that people should see when they get to the website is a description of what's it all about, what are you doing, how you are doing it, people behind it, what you've managed to accomplish so far, the response you are getting, etc. The updates could be done in the same blog-style through a link from the main page.

Ok. I get what you mean now.

There is a more professional looking site being put together for the entity that will take control of this project and run future projects. It looks much better. However I think the Stop File Lockers blog can stay as a record of what's happening. It's difficult to have the screenshots much bigger without making the site alot wider which is crap for people on lower resolutions.

I'm happy for more input on the layout of the blog. I agree an about page is good and i'll make one. Any other ideas would be appreciated.

You can link thumbnails to full sized images.

Anyway, my point was that if a totally random person or some media person decides to check the site to see what it's all about (like if he clicked the link from facebook or twitter) he won't understand anything.

You need an index page with an easy explanation on what's going on and what it's all about.

Ok we can do both of those things. Thanks for the advice, it's appreciated. As you can imagine there's a whole lot going on so as time goes on things will tidy up a bit and we'll be able to develop better websites for these blogs.

Great chance for a designer to step up and offer some help.

AK don't waste time on the design, it's secondary to the real work you're doing and that's in the text.

Paypal is gone at Letitbit:

http://www.letitbit.net/premium.php

Easyshare is still working though, hopefully that will be taken down by Paypal quickly too.

Premium is simply blank over here, in the USA. Turbobit, hitfile.net and a few others block us ips. Letitbit just says every file "file not found" for US IPs, proxy through an ip in the netherlands and the file suddenly shows up.

The ones out of the list I posted the other night are using accounts that have been left on ice in case of this eventuality, we're shutting them down.

I've been busy with accountants and lawyers all afternoon, I'm off for a nap and I will be back in a few hours to report on where we are at.

1hostclick.com needs to go down, Russian, no DMCA compliance at all, no DMCA agent, no Abuse link - nothing.

Is there a button/banner for StopFileLockers.com we can put on our sites?

An idea for further funding. Maybe.

Some of the most active anti piracy people are Liberty and Perfect 10, add others if you wish. Have approaches been made to these people? To spread the news, join in the fight and for funding.

Seems to me what's required now is something on a funded scale that will keep this going. Getting Funding from the people who have already posted their anti piracy colours to the mast. Seems to be a logical step. Has a funding manager been appointed?

No I do not want the job.

I should be having a nap. However on the issues above.

1hostclick.com is being dealt with but for legal reasons I can't go into details yet.

On funding, hold that thought for a bit as I have an announcement to make later tonight, just waiting on some paperwork to be delivered for me to sign before I can do so.

On the Phoenix sites, the ones that keep coming back with new Paypal accounts, we have worked out a way to deal with them, just waiting on news from Paypal.

I've been in phone and email contact with Paypal today and we're going to streamline the reporting process by giving Paypal access (well real time reporting anyway) to the collaboration system we are going to use. On that front it's in testing now and I *hope* it will be ready to invite people into on Friday morning.

There's been a lot happening over the past 24 hours that will ensure the long term continuation of Stop File Lockers and follow on projects beyond that. One thing that I can say is that as a result, I will be working full time on this indefinitely. So my initial 3 month commitment is now indefinite and will remain as long as it takes to build an autonomous organization to fight piracy and protect the industry.

I'll be back in a few hours.

That's something I think we should all get behind. If they know piracy is something we profit from, maybe that will make them think twice about doing it.

No one ever said porn companies had to only rely on legit purchases of their content to make money. They are getting paid one way or another. Perhaps not the best way, but they are still getting paid.

PayPal still processes payments for Depositfiles for membership access on a period of 6 months and 1 year, unlike what is stated in this article.

Agree on that.

You need to look at the site from the point of view of someone who has just been given a link to it and no background information. Just sit someone in front of it who has no idea what it is and then create an index page that answers the questions they ask you.

It has been explained many times already - they use another accounts they had on ice to keep going after their main account was terminated. It takes time to identify and to kill those. But this process will be streamlined once collaboration system is in place because Paypal will have access to it too (ETA for this collaboration system is on Friday).

Copying what Liberty did seems to be a good route. Get the list of uploaders and downloaders and have an IP address, email, history and bank details. Then hit them with emails warning what's to come asking them to explain why they were breaking the law and telling them what will happen next.

Which will be snail mail, registered mail, writ served and court appearance.

Advise they see a lawyer.

Do not offer to settle, let them offer that.

Then watch the pirates squeal.

You see I do have a dark side. LOL

Ok this is going to be a long post, so please bear with me.

One of the difficulties of dealing with large organizations like Visa and Mastercard, or Industry Groups or even Paypal initially was that this was "just one person on a bit of a mission". Being taken seriously as "one person" is hard, especially in some of the financial and industry representation areas.

Over the past few days alot of thought has been put into how to change the perceptions of organizations we deal with and how we can make them take this whole thing a little more seriously. A number of possible options were examined and there was a lot of legal and accounting advice sought in that process.

Another issue, for me anyway, was that of donations. As most of you were aware I just didn't even want to accept them at first, I intended to just do it all myself. Over time people persuaded me otherwise and it seems that was a good thing as this whole effort has started to cost a little bit of money.

There is also the issue of what happens if I were to go under a bus tomorrow, if that were to happen then the whole thing would grind to a halt and nobody would know what was going on.

So with all this in mind and with the best possible advice being considered these are the things that have been done and are in the process of being done.

1. Today an Australian Company Limited by Shares was established as a legal entity to be a container for the whole effort. It's name is Copy Control Pty. Limited. It is established under Australian Corporations law and will live on as an entity in it's own right even if I had to stop working on this for any reason. The corporation also has as a recorded minuted decision of it's first meeting, to re-invest any profit each year back into the corporation, so it will act like a non profit in that all excess funds go into further expansion of operations and not into anyone's pocket.

2. It is not legal for an Australian Company Limited by Shares to raise funds such as dontations without a charitable fundraising permit. It is also unlikely that our operations would be considered charitable. Therefore to everyone who has contributed and anyone who wishes to contribute in future, you will have the option of receiving a paid invoice for "Copyright Protection Services" to the amount contributed. If you don't want in invoice that's fine, but if you do let me know and we will send you one by mail or if you prefer as a PDF in email.

3. As everyone knows we are finalizing our collaboration system. We have chosen Podio as the system we are going to use. The main reason it was chosen is that we already have experience with it. The secondary reason was that if you can use Facebook you can use Podio. With Podio we can assign people different roles and different levels of access.

It is even possible to provide people observer or guest access to see overall operations without revealing higher level confidential information. So for example a guest might be able to see our targets and compare them to our milestones. A guest might be able to tip us off about a site to target and will be able to search for targets we have already dealt with.

The Podio system will be rolled out in stages. Initially we will have only a handful of volunteers use it. However in the long term I see it becoming a centralised clearing house where people can report piracy in file lockers to begin with, then see a result. In other words we will have a system that provides a level of transparency and where people can see actual results as they happen.

4. People have suggest I cannot keep this up forever, this is true to an extent. This stopped being a solo effort a little while ago, however now we have clearly defined strategies in place we can spread the load beyond just my staff. As things progress I will be able to spend more time on oversight than actual slaying. I will be able to concentrate on the relationships with billing companies, credit card companies, ISP's , Network Providers and so on.

5. As of writing I own Stop File Lockers, Cold Copy and the other support sites, the web hosting and all the databases and so forth. However from midnight tonight all of that is officially and legally transferred to Copy Control Pty. Limited. No longer will I personally own or be liable for any of it.

6. If someone wants to sue us for whats on a site then they can only sue the legal entity. I will not be legally liable for any of it. The most that anyone launching a law suit can expect to receive is what assets the company holds, which is virtually nothing but contributions and a few domain names, databases, software and some office supplies.

7. As many people have been generous and have contributed in many ways I have decided to match all contributions dollar for dollar out of my own pocket to a cap of $50,000.

8. The company on it's website will publish financial reports and milestone reports on a quarterly basis for anyone to scrutinize. Additionally contributors will have access to guest access on Podio to watch how their contributions are spent and what progress is being made on targets.

9. We are working hard to streamline our reporting to Paypal and become more efficient at doing so. The collaboration system based on Podio will help us do that.

10. We will not need to focus on illegal pornography to keep Paypal's attention, nor that of Visa and Mastercard and the other processors. The issue of piracy is enough so from today onward we will simply report any suspicion of illegal pornography to the appropriate authorities and not deal with it in our blog posts or reports any longer. We are not qualified to do make any kind of judgement about what's a misleading liink name and what's dangerous material. We never open links so we can never know what's really behind them anyway. The authorities are best placed to deal with these issues.

11. We will , as some of you know, be launching a toll free hotline in the UK, USA and Australia/New Zealand for people to report sites to us. All we will ask for from callers is the name of the site and the type of material they found. No caller will be asked for URL's or details beyond those two simple things. Callers may speak to a live operator or leave a recorded message with their reports. We have delayed the introduction of the hotline until incorporation and will set about a launch date for some time next week.

12. If anyone has any questions, comments, criticisms or concerns I'd be glad to hear them.

Thanks for putting up with such a long post but I thought it was important to clearly state what was being done and why.

The authorities are best placed to deal with these issues.
maybe it has something to do with the fact that

"David banner sex drugs and video games" is not kiddie porn as you represented it

but an album produced by rapper David Banner

FEATURING:
ASAP Rocky, Lil’ Wayne, Chris Brown, Snoop Dogg, Game, Nipsey Hussle, 2 Chainz, Big K.R.I.T., Bun B, Don Trip, Maino, Kardinal Offishall, Doe Hicks, Luck and Savvy, Raheem DeVaughn, Kree, Ras Kass, J-Doe and Tank

that was using the "download it for free and if you like it donate" business model.

And the posting on the file locker with affiliate programs was a way to get paid for those millions of free downloads.

http://www.davidbanner.com/

has anyone contacted chris brown and david banner to find out how they feel about you misrepresenting their work as kiddie porn.

Great work Adultking and truly outstanding progress in such a short time. Will hit you up soon to ask if there's anything an old fogey can do to help.

Let's not give GG any recognition. This must be hurting his income.

Thanks for the comments Jel, Nautilus, Piracy Pitbull and Paul, mikke and Gozarian.

Agreed re Gideon, not worth the time of day.

I'm calling it a night soon. My Paypal contacts are in Hong Kong at meetings, I've been going since about 3am, been in meetings and working on stuff all day. I'll pick up where we are at with the Podio back end tomorrow and resume the slaying Friday.

We have news about a couple of bigger sites due Saturday.

For those who are wondering what Podio is , here's a teaser.

back tomorrow.

actually none of the links were porn

celebrity sex tape 2012

is a small time indie movie not porn either

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2136808/

not explictly proven to be file locker friendly like david banner album

but given the fact that if you search for porn terms and restrict the search to filegag

http://www.filestube.com/search.html...=77&select=All

you get

message

odds are it probably the same sort of thing.

oh and btw the article in question

http://stopfilelockers.com/tag/child-pornography/

was tagged and google bombed to the search engines with the term child pornography.

and the only representation to any time of adult content was the misrepresentation of david banners album and a mainstream movie.

Anyone who wants to post up Aaron Jacque's name and employers name on thousands of porn sites to get him noticed a little bit more at work...and/or want to get over to the a k i r a website and start emailing his boss should do so immediately.

The LAST thing needed here is this cancer of Aaron Jacques / gideongallery the pro piracy porn surfer.

Just got several confirmations that Removeyourcontent and Met-Art anti-piracy were also involved with the 1hostclick and Paypal, obviously that was a joint effort and joint success, a big thanks to all parties involved in this thieving site losing it's paypal account
