Google is taking a shot at stealing the iPad's throne with a seven-inch 'Nexus' tablet.

another Android tablet? i don't see a nexus tablet doing anything to Apples market share... the MS Surface has a better chance the RT version. PC people now have an option and if priced right MS will make a nice dent. Especially if they make a Business versionComment

The Nexus has a place in the market.
Sometimes I prefer the 7" as the 10" tablets are too heavy for using when laying down or holding in the air. Especially with 1 hand.
But the 7" is smaller and not as effective.
These companies need to start thinking more like Steve Jobs instead of just trying to steal his products.
Kindle fire? get the fuck out of here. Nobody cares how poor you are.Comment

I can't believe the direction the market has gone with the general consensus being that tablets will replace laptops. I personally don't even own a tablet, but have a smart phone, desktop and multiple laptops(Android & PC). I dont see the practicality for a tablet due to the fact when I'm out, an Android smart phone can pretty much do anything a tablet can at 1/10th the size. When I'm home I'm either on my desktop and when I want portability I grab my laptop.

I'm the same actually. There's nothing I need that my phone can't do when i'm out. And when at home i'd rather use the desktop than anything else...I can't believe the direction the market has gone with the general consensus being that tablets will replace laptops. I Agree, webmasters and alike will always use laptops, but average housewife will want a tablet and there's more of them than us! it is the future whether we like it or not.I can't believe the direction the market has gone with the general consensus being that tablets will replace laptops.
