Is the free porn model here to stay?

Broadcast public television has advertiser supported free content -- TV shows, News, Movies, Sporting Events.

The TV networks pay to produce content, buy syndicated content, or license motion pictures.

Cable networks have both subscriber paid and advertiser sponsored content -- USA, History Channel, etc. .

So, assuming there would be "social acceptance" of the porn content advertisers might support it.

I could envision a subscriber paid and advertiser sponsored porn content channel on cable television or that type of content broadcast on the Internet with just advertiser sponsored content or advertiser sponsored and paid subscriber revenue. This cuts the pirates out of the game sorta even though if it is broadcast digitally it can be copied, period.

This would change the flow of copyright licensing revenue to a front end rather than long term revenue stream. Make your money in the beginning before it is infringed upon which will ultimately happen. This "free" advertiser supported distribution would not stop piracy but it would give the creators higher revenue for newly produced product. People do watch advertiser supported entertainment (suffer the commercial advertisement in return for free content) and are willing to pay for access (e.g.; Netflix) even though they can find most of that same content on torrents, etc... Trick is that they could get it free or at low cost legitimately.

Now, the social acceptable advertising might be of issue but there are many mainstream products that may bite, like; Condoms, Sex Toys, Intimate Apparel, Sexual lubricants, and other products of an adult nature that are not welcomed to hawk their wares on public television or "family rated" Internet entertainment (Hulu, Crackle, Youtube, etc.).

So it works like this in concept; 30 Million viewers world wide pay $10 month to watch the content output of 100 industry players and they all get royalties for broadcast rights -- they profit from the volumes and the advertisers do not support infringement the only issue being the social acceptability of the porn sponsored content covering another $160 million? a month ... That is $460 million a month ... Hypothetical numbers however here is no real historical data to use.

Legitimate free Porn is possible but not a likely scenario short term -- 5 or 10 years on the above level?
