CCBill, what about a statement?

I know you guys are browsing the forum multiple times a day, what about a statement on the recent happenings involving CP, bestiality and piracy where ccbill facilitates various websites in monetizing on this stuff? What about uploaded.to which was terminated but reinstated again only 24 hours later?

You had plenty of opportunities to turn this around, clean ship and show your intentions. For starters I would have made a post which outlined the best procedure to report such events in order to assure a quick turnaround of each report to show you care about this. Or a post about how rules are applied differently to various clients so people can try to understand while genuine adult industry sites are having a hard time over a banned word while sites reported to you do not seem to have the same rules applied.

Again, the goal is to stop these sites, not to harm CCbill, and to protect intellectual properties and to ban disgusting shit from the internet which shouldn't be there in the first place.

Here are some known ccbill forum users and their activity:

Being a CCBill merchant I'm comforted that they don't stoop to the level you're trying to drag them down to.

Your post shows that 4 of what you call "known ccbill forum users" logged in and were smart enough not to take the bait. The rest you list haven't been on for months. Good for them! They are busy helping me and their other clients make money and not playing games on forums

You're accusing CCBILL of promoting and supporting CP and bestiality? Wow.

No wonder I just go crazy on you assholes. You think CCBill is going to instantly shut down a client's site because some random person downloaded - or just stumbled across - something somebody MIGHT have uploaded that MIGHT be offensive or illegal?

There are laws in many countries (even in the United States - believe it or not) that are specifically designed to protect people from blatant exploitation. Not the third world children who make your shoes and sweatshirts - they have no rights - but if the same Chinese kids that made clothes for WalMart were caught fucking on camera, well, the Chinese would still not care. Either would you.

CCBill would, though. Anyway, there is no more honest company than CCBill involved in the adult internet. I trust CCBill implicitly.

I just ran out of steam...

OP, I found a paysite today that has your name servers that appears to be using "borrowed" content. Who should I contact so that you can investigate?

I really didn't mean any malice. Could be a simple oversight. I just want to make sure the right person is made aware. I didn't feel right using an abuse address because I am not making any claim to the content. Just want to point something out since we are cleaning up the internet one site at a time.

How could you say that. They are knowingly processing for pirated Hollywood Movies, Bestiality, Pirated Porn Movies, Pirated Software etc.
By doing that they risk being shut down/fined by visa/mastercard jeopardizing the income of 1000s of honest adult webmasters.

Anyone standing up for CCBILL in this matter will lose all his respect in the adult community. You are blind if you are not seeing what is happening here.

They should be making a statement about how they were obviously misled by the merchant and how whilst they do their best they can't be expected to police every site in real time bla bla bla AND most importantly, they should promise to look deeper into this problem and give people a specific procedure to follow if they find ccbill processing on an inappropriate site.

I am sure they ARE taking this seriously, but in typical ccbill style, not wanting to help keep this on the top page with their replies, but they should be going on the record.

At the moment, their silence implies that they are saying mind your own fucking business.

Yesterday I received an email from CCbill which I interpreted incorrectly it seems. Today I received another mail explaining in better detail how to report this sort of content. Here is how they want it reported:

Quote:
We take action quickly on reports of abuse and have a zero tolerance for content of this nature.

So as noted in the CCBill Client AUP, and as you noted, the fastest path to report the instances of abuse is to the [email protected] email, which goes right to our risk and review teams.

Please reference the site and alleged content without the URL or the actual content, and which should be enough to research the allegation and take appropriate actions. And when a notice is received and validated, we are required to report specific abuses to the authorities.
I've requested further instructions on how to report it to them without a link or URL and will share that information when it comes. But the bottom line is, we can not send them links to the actual content.

Good to see they are reporting the abuse to the authorities. That shines a light on the file lockers which very well could end up in a raid on one of them if enough instances were to occur.

I'll report back with more info when I have it. I think at this point it's fair to say they are well aware of the problem and with us having the proper channels to report it, that is a step in the right direction. That doesn't address them reactivating accounts after they are shut down, but that is secondary issue as far as I'm concerned, with the primary issue being proper reporting of cp. We can hold their feet to the fire over reactivation once we're clear on how to report it properly.

Forget CCbill, this involves all the processors. Especially those willing to process porn.

Pirates steal a lot of business from porn sites by selling the content via a fast download connection and the affiliate payouts on top of this. If a fan on my pornsite wants to pay 33 Euros for 3 months access he can do, but if he can get that for $3. Why should he buy a membership?

So my two billers CCbill and Epoch just lost their slice of 33 Euros and now got a slice of $3.

OK I'm tiny and insignificant, but multiply this by 1,00s to get the picture. Piracy costs processors. They shouldn't need an excuse to can a site. Paypal are a different beast and we need to target them.

Take it up a gear and get mainstream to target the illegal downloading revenue processors and we might have found a chink in their amour. Then Governments might step up to the plate and make the profits of piracy a target for the losers.

Agreed.

I have no beef with the OP in anyway. That being said, many on GFY seem to have a short memory of their own history, again, not referring to the O.P. in this instance, simply broad stroking GFY in that regard and some of the board's biggest loud mouths. Furthermore, they seem to enjoy starting these witch hunts on various different companies when it suits them or their agenda.

I'd prolly make sure my own glass house was in order before making threads/posts to point fingers. Food for thought.

I have looked at the incoming abuse reports we received, the last one was received at the 9th of June and was dealt with accordingly.

We certainly do not run away for any complaint or report. However if you don't actually contact us and allow us to act (like I contacted ccbill before making a post on GFY) you can't really blame us for not knowing.

So again, please send it to [email protected], contact me directly or create a topic on GFY.

Yes of course, if not impossible just as for ccbill which deals with thousands of sites as well.
It is how you deal with it when you are aware of it after you found out yourself or after it was reported to you.

lol @ sites blocked! What for, and by who? Is there an authority that can block piracy sites? Who are they, when are they going to block oron.com ?

Openly allow WHAT stuff?

I use them as a host and only started doing that after I made sure they don't host piracy sites and respect DMCA notices. And from what I've seen in the few months I've been with them they take the piracy problem very seriously, they're very much aware that the hosting industry is getting destroyed by piracy as well - hosting companies who don't give a fuck eating up the small ones who do care. AdultEUhost absolutely is on the good side of things.

Honestly I lost all motivation to pay taxes, I used to be a principle tax payer.. I use all facilities so I have to pay tax, but that has drastically changed in the past few years

Your post shows that 4 of what you call "known ccbill forum users" logged in and were smart enough not to take the bait. The rest you list haven't been on for months. Good for them! They are busy helping me and their other clients make money and not playing games on forums

Email sent.

I only mentioned half of the story here so don't get on me about not emailing first. At least I didn't mention who owns the site.

ProTip: For those concerned about Oron and certain other sites, signup for Porn Guardian. They have direct take down ability with a few sites. I guess that's what happens when they're tired of getting beat to death with DMCA's.

And before any trolls try to make any connections that don't exist, save your breath. Porn Guardian is based a half mile from me and I know the operation inside and out.

Please reference the site and alleged content without the URL or the actual content, and which should be enough to research the allegation and take appropriate actions
That is BS. If a filelocker has millions of files will CCBILL go through all of them based on one email? If they ignore emails with urls they can easily pretend they 'investigated' and found nothing suspicious.

It might be plausible deniability too. If you send them the urls and they do nothing about it then it's possible that could later be used to bring criminal charges against them for aiding in the distribution of child pornography. Someone (like say a judge, Visa, Msstercard, or even Congress if CCBill is ever summoned) might also one day ask them why they have not terminated processing after getting thousands of reports with urls showing the site hosted child pornography. This way they can say "We had no urls so there was no way to verify it". Plausible deniability.

They are allowed to check on what their customers are processing with them. Anyone who says otherwise is full of it. It could lead to a bad situation for YOU if you go searching for it but if you really aren't a pedo and you can document what you were doing you'll probably be okay in the end. (However, IANAL) Personally I won't click on any result which shows those terms. Just the fact that certain terms are there ought to be enough for CCBill, Visa, Mastercard, ASACP, or the government to want to investigate further. There's no reason for me to check it to verify. Let them do that.

You stated that your goals are:

1) To stop these ( file sharing ) sites

2) Protect intellectual property

3) Ban disgusting shit from the internet

So how is the topic closed when the only thing that changed is just CCBill processing for them?

You haven't reached any of your goals.

Read the subject of this thread, that was the goal of this topic.
That does not mean the goals are achieved, nor does it mean i stop caring and fighting to get these sites shutdown. CCBill did the right thing and disabled processing for all of these sites including uploaded.to, which they deactivated, reinstated and now deactivated again. This is just a small victory, next up is PayPal. The first reports are already filed with them, and I am not the only one doing that right now.

Where is the thread to unite everyone against Paypal processing for these sites?

So we can keep track of your progress, you've stated that your goals are:

1) To stop these ( file sharing ) sites

2) Protect intellectual property

3) Ban disgusting shit from the internet

4) Go after PayPal processing for these sites

a) Reports already submitted, awaiting results

What sites have you submitted reports to PayPal about so we can check their status?

There is no thread but as the people participating speak with each other on a daily basis, we all think alike and actually act upon it instead of just being an anonymous keyboard warrior. It is clear that you do no share the same ideas, nor that you want to participate in the battle hence i see no reason to keep you informed. Too bad, since we can use all the help.

I sincerely wish you the best with your current and future endeavors.
