Is Fris really suggesting his clients use an old version of Wordpress when they can't upgrade because they have an "illegal" copy of a plugin or theme?
Even the developer suggested that would be a risk.

It's not an illegal copy, its a perfectly legitimate copy as the GPL allows software to be given away or resold.
Making profound misrepresentations like this help nobody and only go to confuse people when there is no confusion, however that's your intention I am sure.Comment

You are right about the GPL nobody is arguing the GPL.
What you are doing is saying it's OK for Fris to take advantage of the GPL to use other people's work to make money.
OK that's cool, but you are wrong.
The creator does not want him giving away or reselling the content.

It's perfectly ok for Fris to sell or give away GPL licensed software because that's what the GPL intended. Once you release GPL code you are basically bound to honor the license. Which means anyone who complains about their software being resold after they release it under the GPL has no leg to stand on.
By releasing GPL software you EXPLICITLY say that it's ok for people to give away or resell your software REGARDLESS of whether it's commercial or not.
I think it's time you stopped posting here as you're transparently Anna and are just aggravating the harm to yourself by doing so.Comment

You have no argument as the GPL site itself makes the situation crystal clear. It's not even a debate. It's just one person against the entire GNU/GPL system under which thousands if not tens of thousands of software products are licensed.
As you can't read I'll repost what the GPL allows and a link to the official GNU/GPL website for anyone gullible enough to believe what you are saying.

Its been a blast.. and ive personaly learnt a few things.
1. Barefootsies is a real smart guy. He is also quite a gentleman and knows have to have a debate based on facts and not heresay....
2. Candyflip, Is actualy quite a nice guy when you take the heat out of the arguement and talk like human beings.
3. Yes... my on bourd personna needs to be toned down a little. I will endevour to be nicer to my competitors, *even if i think they are crap.
I suppose the next accusation will be from adultking claiming im Candyflip......
Now it's time to let this die. Fris has requested so.. I'm requesting the same thing.

I want to see a new thread with all of you faill trolls, fake nicks and morons admitting what Fris is doing is unethical.
Gimme-Website gets a KUDOS from me for calling Fris out. Maybe the money laundering accusation was going overboard (Even if true) but everything else she meant with good albeit bad intentions.
