Plant matter, lol. When I had a small farm in Lexington Ky. I was surrounded by other farms that had "tobacco bases" guaranteed government price levels. I was stunned at the amount of chemicals that were sprayed onto the plants which then dry and become part of the "plant matter" you are talking about.

Listen I can tell you practical everyday advice you can do RIGHT NOW to help you quit. I quit after my heart attack without any "aid" other than common sense.

RIGHT NOW I guarantee you that within your arms reach is your pack of smokes and lighter. Now get up, carry them to another room in your house, as far from your computer as possible. Up or down a flight of stairs is best. Set the pack and lighter there and come back to the computer.

You see, now when you do that "automatic reach" for a smoke, you realise they're not there, you are forced to think about the choice you are going to make because now your choice is to get the fuck up and walk where they are, pull one out, light it, and walk back.

It's ok if you do that, in fact you're GOING to do that until you run out of smokes.

Now if you say "thats too hard" then you are NOT even trying so just stop posting about it. If you ARE doing that, then good for you. The next step is butting them out sooner and letting your ashtrays pile up with butts. Go ahead, leave them piled up. Because when you run out of smokes, after you delay and delay and delay getting up and getting your very last smoke, you're going to be going apeshit for just one puff. Then you're going to go fish out a butt from your ashtray. Your'e going to save and hoard those too until you only have one puff left on one butt and you delay and delay smoking it all day long and then you wont have any more of the fucking things in your life ever again.

And if you can't do that, you arent trying and you dont want to quit and nobody wants to hear about it. So good luck.

I smoked for about 35 years and quit a couple of years ago. If you can't match or beat me, you aren't trying!

vaso-constrictor vs vaso-dialator :) same price too lol

I smoked 3 paks a day from age 16 to 21. Marlboro (for a week, bad taste, like leaves), Winstons (liked the taste), Winston Lights. Never menthol.

Cold turkey and go thru hell for 3 days is best and smoke other shit cause it does contain some nicotine.

Other than going into the hall of the apt bldg and digging out a butt one time and last time, it wasnt that hard really. :)

I watched my father die from cigarettes. He had advanced emphysema and copd. The last 5 years of his life consisted of sitting at the kitchen table eating high powered meds that fucked up his health and using a nebulizer and lets not forget the ever present oxygen tank he nicknamed "Tony".

My dad died gasping for air. His lungs were pumping as hard as a marathon runners, but they couldn't absorb oxygen or expel the co2 fast enough because the tar had coated his lung alveoli and they could no longer exchange the gasses efficiently enough to sustain life. In hospice he had they doctors/staff remove the CPAP long enough to tell all of us he was tired and wanted to give up. They removed the CPAC and he was conscious with us for a couple of hours and then his eyes rolled up and he passed out because of the climbing co2 levels in his blood. He hung in there for another 6 hours before he finally passed.

Quit now, or pretend you didn't read this and enjoy your smokes, continue to be big tobacco's lil' bitch at $7.00 a pack and die a miserable death.

I hope you choose life.
