Acquiring a Domain, who's good at it?

In the past I've always been able to negotiate reasonable deals but this guy is not reasoning. I'm reluctant to use a Broker because everyone automatically wants thousands or more once professional services get involved.

Anyway if someone can recommend a person, to contact please let me know. - thanks

For acquisitions, we charge our consulting rate of $150/hr min 1 hr (and in most cases, that winds up being enough to either get the job done or know whether someone won't budge from a sky-high price).

Your problem however is that if you hire someone right away, unless the name is so good that the guy gets offers all the time, he's going to know anyone contacting him is more or less you trying to get the domain. So if he's being unreasonable, my suggestion would be to wait a month or two and then contact someone like me to try and get the name. It still may not work, but it has a much better chance than a 2nd attempt by someone else days after your first.

Whatever you do, don't use an acquisition service like GoDaddy or Network Solutions...they may be less than the cost of using us but sellers immediately think large end-user when they see those acquisition service emails.

In other words, use an individual broker, not a large company service.

if hes not 'reasoning' chances are he won't for anyone. another person contacting him will only make him think its more valuable as multiple people are contacting him about it.

Find every keyword that it's targeting and make a bunch of blogs targeting those as well as making similar posts and submissions to the same directories if any.

With luck they will want to sell it more than they do now.
Worked well for me in the past..
