basically you need to find hobbies that you can lose yourself in from time to time. I have so many that it gets kinda crazy but gives me lots of variety at least. |
best for me is Downhill mountain biking
Long drive to the middle of nowhere, find a hotel and relax with some music, a big bag of weed and mad munchiez.
I ride my bike from Jersey City along the Hudson River up to the GW, turn around and come home. great way to kill an hour or two on a nice day.
Offshore fishing
scuba diving ride my bike (motorcycle) 100 miles or more sounds about right.... |
A drive over Imogene Pass always seems to work!!
Actually, what works the best for me is music, listening or playing - always makes me switch off.
Paint and/or smoke some good purp.
I just go to sleep after i screamed out loud this number
swim, beatoff, bike ride
sometimes i take a xanax and put on a movie |
smoke shisha, and play guitar. Usually put the metronome as fast as possible and play so fast that I end up mentally exhausted.

Go for a hike Here in Vermont it's not too difficult to fiind someplace where it's beautiful and you watch the '3G' fall off your mobile's screen and all the bars drop to zero. Pretty perfect when you have nothing but you, woods and the occasional animal wander by. Very tough to snap back to reality tho.
A nice therapeutic 90-minute massage (no happy ending). Tell your therapist to shut the hell up and be at peace for a while.
Twice a day take the dog into the forest for 45 minutes.
Go in and sit with the chickens for 15 minutes, they're funny animals to watch. Head down the mountain and feed a baby donkey carrots, cute little fucker that she is. Sometimes borrow a neighbours horse. Sit in the cherry orchard and read a book. Basically get outside in the fresh air. |
having a great massage, a cold beer, listening to live band at my favorite bar... ;)
hit the gym, drink a nice cold beer, and get a massage with happy ending and or pound it.
I grab my MP3 player, crank on some positive music, and start walking...about an 90 minutes of walking at a fast pace chanting some Tony Robbins mantras while listening to some hard hitting music and you'll feel great! Of course, everyone in your part of the city might think you've lost your mind as you are talking to yourself while walking....
Mud bogging in my jeep.
