I've been playing with it since the day they went live - Steady daily traffic but no conversions. I'm using it for branding mostly but a sale here and there would be nice.

You have to first try to build up a nice amount of followers to your "board" by treating it like if it was a hobby, kinda like getting tumblr or twitter followers by not just linking to your own stuff (surfers nowadays want to see you "share" not just your stuff but others). Then when you have lots of followers you can start monetizing them.

Go thru tumblr and pin some of the stuff you find there and mixed it with your own stuff and get as many followers to your pinboard as you can.
