Ron Levy/Fantasyman/Cybererotica held an Adult Webmaster Event there is September, 2002 - it was very well attended - I remember it as being a great and fun time - and I learned that Philadelphia was a great city with friendly people. And more than a little bit of history. I don't go to shows without a legal seminar - that's the whole point of it for me - but with that proviso, I'd gladly go to a show in Philadelphia.

That sounds more appropriate. I would go if sponsored, otherwise, too far for a get together.

for anyone who hasn't been here, pats and genos steaks are the absolute worst shit in town. you gotta dig into the heart of the city for little dive bomb places that make the best steaks. those are just drunken fool tourist traps. people only go there because they're shitfaced and its still open at 3am.

you could take people to that weird mutter museum or the penitentiary during the day. there's all kinds of neat things to do before blowing cash on tits at night.

I had a friend who was on heroin for awhile. Her family put her in Ocean City, MD figuring she couldn't find it there and would clean up.

She couldn't find it.

BUT

She was watching the news one night and there was a story about how there was a huge heroin bust in Philly. She noted the street sign and figured even though it was busted would still be a good place to score.

She found a friend to drive her to Philly.

It's amazing what someone will do for a fix.

Everything would be sponsored. I have several larger companies that would all do something. I know the resources are there to make this work. I have a lot of loyal clients that would almost all come. I think I could get 100 people..

I'm going to take this into the next phase now. Talk to people I know who would sponsor and try and pick most convenient time for all of them....

It's not a show. It's a gathering. We can all stay in 1 hotel. We take over lobby bar. There is your meeting space. I would have a bunch of fun stuff planed.

I guarantee you this. This would be best food show ever put together in adult. Foodies will be in heaven.

Chink's Cheesesteaks, Steve's Cheesesteaks, Tony Luke's Cheesesteaks, Jim's Cheesesteaks, penthouse club, art museum rocky steps, Eagle's game, Sixers/Flyers game, theres a shit load of things to do in November and December, the history in the city is amazing.

Not hating. I eat a lot of vegetarian food. I do however dislike vegetarian food that attempts to mimic or disguise itself as its meaty counterpart.

the flavors and textures are always pale in comparison and always leave me wanting the real thing.

I hear you and I don't eat a lot of meat substitutes myself, but there are some good examples and in a case like a cheese steak sandwich it's really the only option for a vegetarian to be able to join in on the fun. There used to be a place in Chicago that had one that I though was pretty damn good.

No reason to hit AC for casino's ... Philly has more than enough these days and minutes from Center City.

Hotels:

1. Sofitel on 17th. Awesome place and in the heart of it all.

2. Hyatt at Penns landing: Great spot to reach everywhere you can in the city quickly and also across 95 to be away from all hell breaking loose to have some space.

Steaks:
Pats or Geno's = Shit food for tourists. 99.99% of the local corner steak shops down here do a WAY better job.

*IF* you are local or know the Far Northeast: Steve's Prince of steaks is the ONLY place you need to hit to have the steak experience of a lifetime.

Attractions:
Center City on 2nd and market has some BANGING night life. Bars, food, clubs, all within a few blocks walking.

Chinatown at 11th street: Asian food from what americans call Chinese food all the way to the real deal.

Bonus: Chinatown is 1 block from the reading market terminal.

Fairmount: Hipster heaven. Lots of small places to eat, lots of micobrews and lots of skinny jeans wearing beatniks ... aka kids living on mom and dad's money. Assholes 99% of the time if you ask me. but, eastern state prison is there. INSANE tours of it.

Manayunk: River clubs, bars, pick up places. Meat Markets. all around great time if you are a player that likes to talk trash to MILFs / Divorcee's from the suburbs that their kids are with dad or grandparents for the night. I have partied my balls off in these bars there.

Tons more from being in the area. Get a rental car and GPS.

I just had client in from Seattle. Took him to Steve's 1 day and Tony Lukes the next. He said Tony Luke was way better. I tend to agree. As I stated I been to Steve well over 100 times.. He has a location near Nabisco and another 1 across form reedman on route 1..

Nick's Original Roast Beef on South 20th Street is a must.

Order a roast beef or roast pork, and be sure to ask for it with provolone and extra wet (extra gravy).

When I lived Philly I would hit that place up all the time.
