The only time my stuff is on DVD is when people try to bootleg it.

DVDs are still pretty popular. We sell them and run paysites. Of course we sell Japanese content on DVD. It may be a slightly different market.
Downside is DVDs are the popular format for rippers to grab content. It has been noted elsewhere that besides site rips, most stolen content is taken from dvd. That said, we are having a massive sale at low, low prices! DVD shop, www.juicybunny-dvd.com/store  If I were starting out now, paysite in some form, only. |

The other problem with DVDs is the end cost (retail) stays pretty much the same but the costs of everything (production, girls, crew, etc) keeps going up so the owner of said DVD keeps getting squeezed and his proftis are ever-shrinking.
Paysites are great IF you have the traffic, have enough "defenses" to stolen content in place (nothing is 100%), and some capital to throw at it (advertising, traffic, content, etc) then you have a CHANCE. But whether it's a DVD or a paysite guess what? Ya just don't know how much it will sell til ya throw it out there.
