I don't live off of this. I don't need any of this money to live. I make quite a good living in other ways. This is pure enjoyment as I make money watching tv and fucking around.

1000 joins a year is not to be taken lightly. It's still a fair amount of joins when you factor rebills in (if promoting rev-share, which you should be). Most affiliate programs would be vey very grateful for that amount of sales from an affiliate.
Lets say 29.95 a month, 50% of that is 14.98 (rounded) so around 15k a year in extra income just doing part time while watching tv/... is not bad at all factoring in rebills which should at least be another 15k in cash. Where most come from.. 30k is a good middle-ground salary.
Logically, full-timers should be concerned at that level of sales..Comment

I am around that, about 2-3 sales per day and a bit from ppc etc. This is not full time for me though so I am very happy with. I do wish to go full time with this.
However I cant afford not to work a day job so I don't have the extra time to put into this. I do however but at least 50% of what I make online back into it to help me grow.Comment

1000 sales a year means you are a pro and you are doing business, you have relationships, you are providing a service and you are keeping the industry strong, or stronger than it would be without you. You can optimize, you can grow, and your insights and discoveries mean something.
