mouse/keyboard capture/repeater program

I'm doing a shit load of repetitive stuff right now, and i'm wondering if there are any program with which i will be able to record the mouse and keyboard strokes for a period of time, and then repeat it?

For example: Cut out the top txt-line of a document, past it in another and save that document. And then have the program repeat this task for a number of times or until i press stop or anything....

If anyone know of anything that could help me with this o-so-boring work, please post a link or something.

Thanks!

Do a search on macro programs on download.com.

I used to use one of them (the name escapes me) for submitting stuff to various places and it worked well the majority of the time after the intial setup and you could leave it to work unattended on a loop.

Tried a few of those macro programs from download.com, but can't seem to find one that allow me to do those things...

Nat,

If you would like something custom built, I can put something together for you.

Let me know.

I use a combo of "EZ Macros" and the Microsoft Word Macros to do some search and replace stuff in about 70 txt files.

Try Automate... It really is brilliant -- it is more of an actual programing tool than a key/mouse recorder... ie. you can program it to move the mouse to X coordinates, then type something, then cut something, then change windows, then paste, then wait for a window to appear, then press a key... etc...

I am sure you understand - it's very good!

Macros kick ass...

Between them, and Photoshop "actions," I needn't even be here all day.

I have had good luck in the past using EZ macros in addition to using SRHTML (SRHTML= Search and Replace HTML)

I would use it to switch mass amounts of banners on galleries - now I use ad software cause I am that lazy
