No TV, Phone or Internetfor 72 hours....

I have had issues getting the new cable setup and it looks like I am going to be out of touch for few a days.

No TV, Internet or even landline - I need to download some entertainment before it hits - I just can't think of anything I want to watch.

I got all the new sit-coms down but there are only so many BBT/2 Broke Girl episodes you can watch.

Are there any new sci-fi series I have missed? I have not seen any for ages - stuff like Babylon5 or new Star Trek series.

BTW - I will make up for my sins by watching all the adverts when they are on TV....

I feel for yah. My net was out for a couple of hours the other day, and it felt like my throat had been cut...

    Pathetic, I know, but true...

What about films as opposed to TV shows? Take the chance to watch some classics. Without having the net to inturupt you, you can fully relax and savour them?

I often find I watch a film, and half way thru, think - Better just check my email etc... And although I'm used to it, I'd much rather think - I cant - No Net, and just relax

Tip? Be sure to set up some auto responders on your email, just for peace of mind.

Good luck, stay strong, and I'll catch yah on the flipside...

Some good points - I have got all my favorites on DVD so I'll have to break them out - I had not thought of Auto-responders - I will do that next.

What do people with a life do?

      I am dreading it....

Why not get a 3g mifi thingy to tide you over?

You would think that would be an option as I live in Central London - However it seems I live in the last place in the city with zero 3G.

If you look at the coverage maps for my postal code - E5 8RS - There is like a 300X200 meter black hole. We are lucky to get a mobile phone signal at all some days.

Weird, there are loads of o2 masts around.

Do you live in a tin foil house?

I live in a valley, so no provider can give me 3g, sadly.

Your damn right white people problems.

If I lived in Uganda in deepest darkest Africa I would have 4G and none of this would be an issue - true story!!
