Islam is a peaceful and tolerant religion. You can't judge another culture with what is right and wrong. If trampling and stoning people is part of their religion (may I reiterate: Islam is a peaceful and tolerant religion) then they should be allowed to do it.
Same with their governments, if they want to starve their own people to build WMD then it is okay. Even if those governments are unstable and may one day collapse, they should have the right to posess WMD so when the next unpredictable regime takes power they can decide how best to shape the world. We should continue to blame democracy and tout freely elected officials as the real tyrants. Because we all know that our views of morality, human rights, equality, and freedom should always be second to those other less developed and beligerant countries who are out to destroy us. Which again is okay. Keep in mind that we are the ones that are wrong. We are the ones that truly cause the suffering in the world. |
