Everybody on here is familiar with the "Missed Connections" section at craigslist and other sites. For that matter, everybody in the USA knows about it. Want to create a hookup site where people actively post things? Why not copy an existing place where people actively post things? Why brand yourself as something people have to LEARN? Use a brand they already KNOW!
And they are SEARCHING for it already in massive numbers. And they won't stop. Here are the monthly Google search stats:
60,500 "missed connections" global (with other words too)
40,500 "missed connections" USA
14,800 [missed connections] global (just those 2 words)
9,900 [missed connections] USA
I know a lot of you guys dislike the ICM Registry. I'm not a fan either. But this just makes sense. If something will work, I say, "Use it"!
