That's a great point ADG! I know first-hand of "producer" that was most definitely paid by us (PEI/ICS at the time) who pocketed the money and never paid agencies or the talent. I know this because talent showed up on the producers front door, police where involved and I got a call at the office to resolve that fucking disaster (I fired the producer and everyone was paid). Still everyone's initial knee-jerk reaction was to go after the biggest target = Playboy.

I once saw a porn scene where a claim was made that it was the young woman's first time engaging in anal intercourse. This was actually stated in the scene title and implied in the movies title.
THEN, I saw another adult film scene where the same young woman was featured, yet with a different male actor in a completely different location engaging in anal intercourse and they again, claimed it was this young womans first time engaging in anal intercourse.

Playboy might be a slow pay sometimes but they do always pay. However, those production companies are independent of Playboy in most cases; so, Playboy is not directly cutting the checks to make porn per se. In fact, things like this are why they keep at a safe distance from Producer drama which is oftentimes more unpleasant than model drama. At least that has been what I've seen and experienced over the years.
