Do you still need to be registered as a company to run a paysite?

Do you still need to be registered as a company in EUROPE or USA to have a paysite and process credit cards via CCBILL?

Does zombaio, netbilling, verotel and all the others require this?

And do you still need to pay that $700 fee for VISA?

Without counting content and design, how much do you need to spend to set up a paysite? (only the Credit Card processing FEES and company setup if needed)

I'm not sure about that but you do need to be registered with the US copyright office, a lawyer told me.

Like anything if your traffic is insubstantial or you are dissipated it's not something you need to give much thought, still some risk but not really worth the time for the money you may be making. The bigger you get though and the more eyeballs that see you the more law abiding you have to be.

Under any circumstances or just if you are a producer?

You can incorporate in the US pretty cheap. There are websites where it can be done for $200 or less, I usually go a little higher cause I get some of the add-ons, (since i hate doing paperwork)

You can also incorporate in the UK for a hundred or so, last I checked which was good enough for Zombaio.

I would definitely go CCBill over Zombaio though, even if CCBill was more expensive than it is. The extra affiliate confidence from offering CCBill payouts is more than worth it.

I would say plan to spend 1,000 - 1200 or so, 200-400 for incorporation, 800 for setting up with CCBill, A few bucks to order checks for your new corporate bank account.

any circumstance, in particular if you are using other peoples' content. I think it has to do with being compliant with DMCA. Hopefully my hazy response with provoke one of the lawyers on here to respond.

It's a hundred or so upfront and then a small fee for additional sites.

I posted a question like this a year or so ago, let me find it and look it up for you. You'll see in the directory many big tubesites listed.
Like anything though, if you are a small fry and aren't really interfering with anyone or have anyone out to get you (and your content isn't overly eccentric) I wouldn't worry about it too much.

The advice I'm giving may sound shady but let's be honest, it was like a hosting company on here that said they would tell customers that were distributing full videos or copyrighted works they had a period of time to discontinue the practice. Then a little while later they made an announcement that they would no longer do. The reason? Driving off customers.
Simply put in today's market of adult margins are low enough now you just can't afford to pay through the nose for everything.

I'll have the link in just a bit.

I found the thread: https://gfy.com/showthread.php?t=1030707

Quentin, the responder in the thread, was very helpful.

I would take care of items such as your $700 visa fee and other mandatory fees before anything else.

Remember, the heart feeds it self before distributing blood to the rest of the body. Make first things first so you can get off the ground and off to a good start. Good luck and congratulations on making the move from a blogger to a paysite owner!

I agree with everything you say but go with an LLC instead of a corporation, much better for smaller entities as a whole.

I'm not from US, I'm from south america.

I have seen some guys here owning paysites, but when I emailed them to ask how they do it, they never responded, so I decided to ask here. I see all of them are set in CCBILL EUROPE, I don't know why... There must be a reason, why they choose CCBILL EUROPE and not USA.

So, basically I need to register a LLC in USA or EUROPE and then I will be able to register with the processors? It's impossible to do it as a person, right?

Yes, I know someone will tell me: "Ask your lawyer and such"... but anyway, I guess people here must know because a lot of people have paysites.

johnnyloadproductions, you decided to go via Clipstore because setting a paysite is too much hassle?

Too much of a hassle if your damn actor quits on you! Clipstore is more effective if you need free hosting and only get occasional grabs. I make money with affiliates to an extent. Opening up a paysite is only good if you can be consistent. Else there is not point. Had I been able to go every 1-2 weeks on a scene then yes.
Producing porn is only worthy if:
You'd got access to girls who's beauty abnormally high
guys with monster peckers that are reliable
guys with huge cumshots (my guy was this category)

I would only feel comfortable being a paysite owner with original content or the rights to exclusively sell something.

I'm really glad to see this. As a point in the coming years, someone from the United States is going to become more a novelty than a common occurrence.
