1099's
When should I expect the 1099's to start trickling in? I'm wanting to file my taxes ASAP so I just wanted to know when most of you sponsers will get around to mailing them.

1 more question: When receiving checks after January 1st for pay period 2 in December, does that go on last year's records or is it tacked on to this year's?

I think January first is the deadline. Which brings me to another question. Last year myself and a partner didn't receive a 1099 from a company. It was a pretty decent amount of money. What can you do or not do legally in this situation? Other people we know got 1099's from the same company and my wife even got one to our address. I always understood that if you don't get one you don't pay because the company has to absorb the taxes on that. Never looked into it though. Any info?
