      He passed back in March, always loved his guitar playing, he was in a shitload of bands, he even played with boz skaggs for a while, one of my favorite bands back then

                What makes it more of a shame? The fact that it was a suicide? The family did not exactly want a big deal made of it, and they said so. Suicide does that. And it isn't like Montrose was a big household name.
