same for uk, does the army protect the country? no only in extreme circumstances. It is left to the police and MI5

Of course, that's 100% ok with you guys because you are only capable of hearing, understanding or sympathizing with 1 side of the story... and the victims are dying, also because of this..

I agree. "IDF" is a joke name, given how many countries they have attacked in their history, but the same goes for "defense departments" everywhere. It's akin to tyrannies like East Germany or North Korea officially styling themselves as 'democratic'.
Up until/during WWII we had a Department of War, as did the UK (probably where we got the name from) and a Secretary of War.

Well, obviously its 'propaganda' in the true meaning of the word. But the way its used in this place is that its assumed to be a lie.
Anyway, wasn't interested in a game of circular logic and semantics. Was just commenting on the notion that just because someone said something, its assumed to be false - and in the middle of it, people are dying. If one cared about the people who were being hurt, they would care about facts..
