Which do you think has better potential return for inclusion: inktomi or altavista, altavista is $79 for 6 months and inktomi $39 for a year...?

I would say Inktomi based on the prices and traffic volumes of the respective engines but it really depends on what your marketing. Altavista might be more expensive but if its less competitive to get a page spidered you might get more hits than Inktomi. It's really tough to tell on these inclusion packages.
