Good movies from 197X?

Recommend me some good movies from 1970-1979. I've never bothered with watching movies from 1970 since I always thought the quality would be too shitty, but I was wrong so now I need to watch all the good ones so recommend me some.

Any category goes!

I've watched The Count of Monte Cristo and also Midnight Express and both was good.

many think the 70's was the greatest decade for movies. rather than the crap put out in the 80's through today where the major studios are all going for blockbusters filled with special effects they made movies in the 70's that were about people, real people, character studies of really fucking interesting people.

there were blockbusters in the 70's - The Godfather, Jaws, Star Wars, Rocky, Close Encounters of the Third Kind but I remember 70's movies more for movies like Dog Day Afternoon, Taxi Driver, The Last Picture Show, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Papillon, Clockwork Orange, Chinatown

comedies like Blazing Saddles, Young Frankenstein, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Life of Brian

horror films like Carrie, Dawn of the Dead, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, The Exorcist which was a blockbuster

Tons of good movies in the big list there. Many of them I've only seen more recently on television. Others saw in the 70's. I saw Star Wars on opening night at a drive in Actually, my brother and I sat on lawn chairs on top of his friends truck who lived near the drive in, haha. Sorry george lucas, we saw it for free. Slight delay in the sound reaching us, but still great experience and movie.
