The best commercial for 2012 so far
It's got Cannes Grand Prix written all over (if I was judging). Zonajobs is an Argentinian jobs site. What makes it a great commercial for me is that it perfectly touches that feeling of being at a job that you absolutely hate. That feeling of: how the FUCK can I get out of going to work today? My one nit is that the commercial is so entertaining, one might forget who it's for. That's often the problem with spots with "gotcha!" endings. But, bravo to the client for having guts. The song is "It's Been A Long, Long Time". It sounds like a version of the 1945 #1 Billboard recording by Henry James, with Kitty Kallen on vocals. Ad agency: Draftfcb Buenos Aires. |

 nicethe last company I was doing some work for this guy would always use the excuse of something happening to his grandparents of family. he would tell me he was going out drinking or some party, then call in saying his relative is in the hospital. his department he had about 4 managers come and go and always would use the excuse, mainly because the day off didn't come out of your vacation... ironically he said his grandmother was sick and going 500+ miles to visit her... he was really going to Vegas. About three weeks later his grandmother had a stroke and he got a call while at work and his boss wouldn't let him leave and said if he did, he was fired. Kind of a dick move on this bitch to not let him go, but she was trying to make an example out of someone
