    Online storage - Whats Good

Looking at online storage for family photos, videos, and files.

Any recommendations? I was thinking about trying out godaddy

But I do have a lot of unused space on my hosting accounts, couldn't I just store files there?

Google just launched theirs. 5GB free. If you trust your privacy with them.

Dont laugh... But I'd say dreamhost!

Useless for mission critical sites... But as an 'Unlimited place to store your stuff (Secretly) and use FTP to access it... PERFECT...

But keep a backup elsewhere of course

If it's working files you want to be able to use them on your computer and have them automatically backed up. You can do that with dropbox, google drive or something like it. Then use something like an online service like idrive or something else to back that up in the "cloud" and you should be fairly safe.

so, if you have alot of space on hostings, why you need some other storage? i have never used storage other than mine since i bought my first hosting account

I prefer to not mix the adult stuff with the family stuff, but if it acts the same way I also have some mainstream hosting space.

Storage is what I want, not online backup. I might try both Idrive and godaddy and see which is easier to organize.

                        Why not DropBox
