What to do with 20 old PR2 AVS porn sites?
Howdy folks,
I've got about twenty old AVS porn sites doing nothing, hell I'm lucky if all twenty together make a hundred bucks a month. The domain names are all .com and I've owned them since the late 90's or early 2000's. Most of them are PR2 but a couple are PR3. The sites are total shit, old style AVS sites with very limited crap content. Back in the day they were micro niche but now they would just be niche I guess, stuff like biker chics, huge clits, glory hole, etc. I'm thinking about installing wordpress along with cyberseo and turning all of them into niche tube sites using sponsor provided videos pertaining to the domains niche. Is this a crap idea? Would it do much better than the 100 bucks a month they make now just sitting there being stagnant AVS sites? I don't want any long term work on these sites but don't mind working on them for a month or so. I've never owned a tube of any sort so there could be something much better to do with these old sites. Any advice greatly appreciated. |

Yeah, and sexkey offer to convert your old sites for you, try to hit them up and see what they can do for you.
If you decide to throw upå wordpress, do make it a wordpress multisite to ease the useage, updating it and so on in the future.

$200 a year for the domains and you make $1200 a year from them. That's still profitable. I'd just leave them alone or build up blogs or something around them on subdirectories or subdomains and then use the AVS sites for backlinks to your other stuff. I would not remove the AVS sites if they are making a profit and are low or no maintenance.

I would put in another vote for Sexkey. Quick and easy update.
Although, depending on the domains... you might be better off turning some/all of them into nichey blogs. Or sell off a few, focus on the 2 or 3 best ones and promote/work the shit out of 'em. I have stayed away from tubes because I can make a lot more money from 1000 surfers on a well-built, properly SEO'd blog than I can from 25,000 surfers on a tube. |

Tube sites is a terrible idea.
Maybe put blogs on them - You could even make blogs with a fake SK front page. Tubes would be a waste.... |

Thanks for all the ideas!
I should have mentioned I am currently with Sexkey who has always been the best free model AVS in my experience with Free Age Card coming in a respectable second. Its just that my old AVS sites don't do much for me anymore and I figure all those PR2/3 old domains could do more, I'm just not sure what I should do. Looks like niche tube sites didn't get anyone's vote of approval and since I don't know anything about doing a tube I will forget that idea. A couple of you mentioned blogs and said I should keep the avs model going... I could create auto blogs and keep the AVS part in tact maybe that would pull some extra traffic from the engines? At least then my sites would have some content for the engines to see because right now they all have just two pages, a entry/teaser page then join page. They have a small members area but it's protected from the engines. All the sites have good back links and nice PR but no real content for the search engines. Back in the day most of them were in the top three for my keywords in Google, but now they are buried deep with Google so most of my traffic comes from Yahoo. I'm guessing Google would like more content but that's a guess. Thanks |
