Yesterday I enjoyed a very luck Friday the 13th in San Francisco, as I was provided access to shoot in a large building right across the street from the stadium where the San Francisco Giants play baseball.

I was scheduled to shoot one of my favorite models at noon, but I didn't realize that the Giants were playing their season opening home game at 1pm. To say the least, we started late, but we made up for lost time...

The good news is, I thought the shoot went well, AND the Giants won 5-0!

Good thing too that the location had roll-up doors, and we could park and unload inside, because we had a ton of lights and equipment and parking on the street was $80 per car (we had 3 cars).

The props this guy has are pretty fun, as he collects all kinds of eclectic objects that serve as excellent backdrops (we just scratched the surface with the shoot yesterday). I already have two more shoots lined up at the same location later this month...

The pix we did yesterday were shot in small portions of the building, on two floors. The building has 4 stories, so there is quite a bit more there to shoot.

I'll definitely be renting the same location to shoot in again, and I'm starting to look for a new studio again - the place we shot in yesterday is for sale (22k sf), but it's out of my ballpark...

I think it falls into the, "if you have to ask, you can't afford it" category. The crazy thing is that whole area has been transformed since the last big earthquake, from a blighted rundown urban warehouse district, to an upscale and gentrified entertainment and dining area, with condos and shopping.

I flew a 36D Asian model into the Bay Area from LA yesterday especially for a nude beach photo session in San Francisco scheduled for today...

Yesterday the weather was a glorious sunny 90 degrees in San Jose, 45 miles south of San Francisco - the hottest day of the year so far, and the forecast for today was supposed to be equally nice.

The weather in the South Bay was beautiful, and everyone was psyched as we headed out.
