The police chief and prosecutor who didnt charge him.. one retired, the other recused himself. Isn't that right? If there was NO evidence to charge him with anything, you'd think it'd be a manslaughter/accidental death charge at worst. But it's second degree murder charge.
Also there were initial stories about there having been a meeting where the lead detective pushed for an arrest but was overruled. I think that was disputed by the guy who recused himself though. He called it an outright lie.
On the "not guilty" side, his brother says zimmermans nose looks swollen in the video, also a witness said she saw george get up after the shooting and hold his head in what she called the "I just did something wrong" position, but could corroborate that his head was fucked up. The swollen nose could corroborate the police report that he had a broken nose.. on the flip side of THAT though, there was no blood on zimmermans front side that could be seen. I got smashed in the nose once and shot a fountain of blood in .0002 seconds, staining the entire front of my shirt and pants before I could even grab it and tilt my head back.
Pretty sure it's safe to say that this thing wasn't handled correctly. Too many questions that have nothing to do with a media circus, or a race rally.43-922-863 Shut up and play your guitar.Comment

The FUNERAL DIRECTOR stated weeks ago there was no bruising or marks on the body of Trayvon Martin save a single gun shot wound. All the evidence needs to be heard. Im curious as to how the so-called aggressor was not injured, bruised, or marked in a life or death scuffle. I wouldnt be suprised if Martins punch never even connected and Zimmerman fell backwards and bust his head. It requires a great amount of force to bash a grown mans head into the ground REPEATEDLY. Of course we only have one side of the story. I think you watch too much power rangers, or some shit. I find so many contradictory "facts" that I have yet to form an opinion.
I was talking to a friend yesterday on the phone and this case came up and he told me that he thought Zimmerman was innocent. That this was clearly an act of self defense. I asked him how he came to that conclusion and he said that he saw an interview on the news with Zimmerman's brother and his brother said that it was self defense. I asked him what news program this was and he said Fox News
I tried to explain to him that none of the news programs deliver the news without some kind of slant. It's just impossible to get the true facts these days by watching a news program IMO.Comment

They recused themselves because Zimmerman went off the reservation, trying to talk directly to prosecutors without telling them, putting up that website asking for donations without telling them, and not returning their calls, texts or emails.

What gave Treyvon the right to assault Zimmerman (if that's the case)? What, because Zimmerman followed him? He was neighborhood watch captain. Should we be able to beat up anyone that makes us uncomfortable and then bitch when they defend themselves?

technically, OP's question doesn't make a lot of sense, the whole point of investigations and trials is to determine wether or not a person is LEGALLY guilty or innocent.
Hundreds of thousands of both guilty and innocent people go thru the legal process every year, to determine wether or not they are offically guilty or innocent.
OFFICIALLY guilty or innocent does not mean the person was ACTUALLY guilty pr innocent - so zimmerman could be actually innocent but be declared guilty, or actually guilty but be declared innocent.
however, zimmermans life as it was is over, and was over when he pulled the trigger.
something for all those of us who carry and shoot to remember. There is a price to be paid for pulling that trigger on another human being. It is not glorious, it is not mas macho, it means the end of your life, as it was, just as much as it can mean the end of the life of whomever you are shooting.

This whole thing is nothing but an attention whoring fiasco aimed at trying to make it look like it was racially motivated. That and possibly a political motive to say "see, guns are bad"... but my money is on a bunch of morons trying to make the entire ordeal into something it wasn't...
