Its in the hands of the jury now essentially Murder 2 is going to be a tough rap to prove. I haven't seen any of the evidence except what has come through the news and we all know how irresponsibly they have handled this. I trust the jury to do the right thing.
One thing has puzzled me on this though Florida has one of the largest hispanic communities in the US where are they? What if they had printed shirts that said we are George Zimmerman? Victim was crying.
Shooter called him names.
Shooter warned not to follow.
The law that will be ultimately used in his defense doesn't have any stipulations that match the criteria.
example.. it doesn't say " but you cant shoot if the suspect is black" or "you can't shoot if suspect is crying"
the law is obviously vague, it should be changed. The law should not be ignored simply because of public opinion.

That is not quite correct
The 911 tapes clearly show a timeline that involves the racial profiling of a citizen who was minding their own business and an overzealous neighbourhood watch captain who probably meant well due to the burglaries in his neighbourhood by blacks, but made a tragic mistake.
Being armed and pursuing a suspicious person when cautioned not to (and without the legal authority to) exemplifies dangerous conduct that is a key element of second degree murder.

I thought he was arrested and then they let him go.. ? i haven't followed the case much so far but pretty sure they arrested him then let him go because they have to have evidence to fit certain criteria to file a charge.
