Webcam problems - Hosting companies can you help?
I am so sick of the problems I'm having with my webcam!!!
I use Webcam32 to do liveshows for my members, but something is not working like it should, and I'm sick of this shit... Either it's the program that sucks, or it's my webhost that sucks, because the picture freeze all the time, and I don't have this problem when I do camshows on another site (on another server) with just the same program (webcam32). I'm supposed to do a camshow for my members tonight, but if I can't find a better solution I will cancel it, because I'm not going to do a camshow that stops every goddamn minute! So I'm thinking of a streaming solution with windows media encoder. Can someone tell me if there are any cheap and easy ways to set up my cam to stream live using windows media encoder, and to place this cam on my site? Maybe some hosting companies who offer exactly what I'm looking for?? I only want hosting for my webcam livestream, not the rest of my website. Please tell me here if you can help me out, and what your prices are, or contact me : sandra AT sandrawang.com ... I really need to get my cam up and working fast!

I would not mess with windows media man. You should use Flash Communication Server. Users do not need to install of configure anything to use video or sound and can be using a 56k connection and still stream. Checkout www.macromedia.com/showcase and you can see out technology showcased and how it works.
