Thought some of you guys would be interested. Here is a kick ass monitor at a great price. They are refurbs but come with a 3 yr warranty. I finally purchased one.

i've seen some dell LCDs that quality was mediocre.
Checkout the reviews on the Samsungs LCDs. Expensive but quality is stunning. My 17" was about $700US 3 months ago.

I dont get why pornographers and web designers here even use LCDs!!! The colors and viewing angle are so damned awful! Is this for personal use then?

I have one I bought new and I like it alot, I had the Sony 18" but this 20" seems much larger.

Deel support sucks BTW, but computers are pretty good.

A good LCD is much easier on the eyes than a radioactive cathode ray tube - especially if you're staring at it for 8+ hours a day. I think they are better for everything except fast-action gaming, where the pixel lag comes into play. CRTs will go the way of the Dodo in a few years ...

My wife thinks I'm nuts, but I'm gonna get a plasma to hang right in front of my desk. I'll be sitting about 3 1/2 feet away from it, so 42" seems perfect!

I bought that new from Dell for only about $50 more. It's a great monitor. Took some adjustment the first day but now it's just awesome.

Forget about it -- you can get that monitor DIRECT from Dell brand new -- shipped to your door for like $649-$749 occassionally when they go on sale (every 30-60 days or so if you stalk http://www.gotapex.com and wait for the deal)

I've been hitting that site the last week and there has been nothing less than $800. Also, I E-mailed the webmaster and he told me the lowest they have ever had the monitor was $750 and that was in December. I have heard nothing but kick ass things about t his monitor and my 15incher doesn't cut it anymore.

LCD may not be as good as crt monitors but doing photoshop 8 hrs a day. LCD saved my eyes before that every night my eyes would feel like they were going to fall out.
