The fact switching and having Brian continue to not only keep them alive but keep pushing forward successfully over the years is an amazing feat, nothing against Bon Scott but Brian IS AC/DC
They were great when I was in the 8th grade -- but my tastes have changed.
I saw the For Those About to Rock tour at the Philly Spectrum. It was awesome. They were my favorite band, and I mean intensely. Probably the first real rock band I ever got into when I was a kid. I liked Triumph, Boston, Queensryche and ELO -- but AC'DC was my jam.

My tastes have grown but I still love AC/DC. Nothing like downing Anchor Steam beer talking about Michel Foucault and deconstructivism and Malcolm X and listening to Highway to Hell during balmy Berkeley summer nights 20 years go....
AC/Dc is my all time favorite band. They are the only band that I know of that has had 2 lead singers and has been able to keep the same basic fantastic sound, in my opinion. I love Brian Johnson but Bon Scott was the original. Angus is still the man.
Bon Scott is the stuff of legends. Brian Johnson is the guy who against all odds stepped in and continued building the band's amazing brand. The album Back In Black hit the rock universe like an ICBM.
Both guys are top dawgs in my book. I've kind of outgrown AC/DC over the years but the impact they had on my teen years and through my early 20's will never be forgotten.
To me they are modern extensions of Robert Johnson, Muddy Waters and Led Zeppelin - not Heavy Metal or whatever... but a straight-up kick-ass blues band...
That said, as an aside, in Montreal we had an AC/DC cover band once at a Halloween Church basement party called "Great Wall Of Angus" - which featured the band plus as many Angus Young wannabes as could fit on stage... I think we had 30 or forty Angus's that night, and it was ... well, you can imagine. They probably never let the band back again, in any of the sections of the city they could be heard that night.
To prove my point about the blues:

I saw them in 1985 in Germany in a big arena in Frankfurt then the very next week I saw then in a tiny school gym type place. Front row at both and they were AWESOME! & Loud...
