Worked pretty well for Carol Shelby, or are you putting down his cars?

Yeah. I never had any issues. It really gets under my skin when people who have never driven them say "herp derp they only go straight durr durr" ... you know the type.

Come on Dom, you know GFY is full of people comenting on what little they have heard on cartoon network

Plus, I got my groceries in it ... so there's that.

And I don't think I listened to the radio head unit more than once before having an aftermarket system put in with front+rear infrared/color cameras, DVD, GPS, CD changer, etc, etc.

If I bought any car of that stature, the first thing I would modify is the stereo, they are never loud enough, and why would you care about the stereo of a car that's that fast?

Not discrediting him for what he brought to motor sports but all in all there are plenty of cars that dont need this insane amount of HP and can still keep up if not beat these "american beasts" To each his own, I like the sound of a force induced car over raw NA any day.

Choopa_Pardo 04-06-2012 08:07 AM

A 2009 Viper ACR ran a 07:12:13 at the Nurburgring.

How can anyone argue that it can't corner. If it conquered The Green Hell it more than enough car for anyone with a big enough checking account.

The ACR looked like it meant business with that big rear spoiler, rear diffuser and front splitter.

SUP. :thumbsup

I have a little Z3 roadster convertable. 99, stock it's only 193 hp. Just changing the chip I got an extra 60 hp, then I changed to a cold air intake and a better exhaust, some injection tricks, now i have a car that weighs less than 3000 lbs and has over 350 hp. This car screams thru the Malibu Canyons. I need better tires, thats next, these will wear out fast enough if I keep drifting around corners.

I'm hoping to get a new Harley this year, maybe before the new models come out for the best price and get the new 103 CI beast Bagger.

When it comes to Vipers, I like the older ones. More brute force, less refinement. US muscle car at it's very best. I got my first speeding ticket in a 66 Super Sport with a 396

Fuck, I even remember fiddling with the little taillight pieces and snapping the wheels on the viper model car I put together when I was a kid.

When I was a kid, I built a model of a rotary motor that show you how it worked

Put your car on a dyno i bet it has no more than 240hp. Naturally aspirated cars get maybe 10-12hp from a chip...same thing with an intake and exhaust.

they got 350hp AFTER a turbo was installed, hate to burst your bubble

ACR isnt stock BIG SPOILERS = DOWNFORCE...not something the stock car takes advantage of. Take a modded GTR against that and it would destroy it as well.

Just put a 100 shot of nitrous on there. I had an older 98 i30/maxima with a 150 shot on it that ran 13.2 1/4 miles with a full truck of groceries. Nitrous is fun :)

bigbootycrush 04-06-2012 09:09 AM

I've had NOS set ups, not looking for the straight shot on this car, looking for prolonged power thru the canyons or up the coast.

Constant Phil 04-06-2012 11:05 AM

Only way to do that is with forced induction or a motor swap! M3 motor ftw!
