“If you can convince the lowest white man he’s better than the best colored man, he won’t notice you’re picking his pocket. Hell, give him somebody to look down on, and he’ll empty his pockets for you.”
I don't mind if he's unbanned because I never have trouble reading or not reading what people post. Just because it's written doesnt mean it has to be read.
Still can't hear you... hold on let me turn this music down, brb

Yes unban Paul and DVTimes too, I miss his posts with random articles. They both got the point already I'm sure, whatever the point was (which I'm not sure).
You do not even have to go through the trouble of putting someone on ignore. You can just do it. Charly has been on my personal ignore for well over 10 years. Do his posts bring views? If so, lift the ban. If not, another matter I guess.
Isn't there something like site wide auto ignore....? So if Paul's unbanned, he can see his own threads and posts, but the rest of the board doesn't even know he's around and busy posting? </evil grin>
It's funny that he got banned from GFY. He just stopped posting at the board I chat on mostly because people abused him too much...

part of the problem is even if you have him on ignore he derails decent business threads with his stupid arguments and ideas and ruins them every time. it's hard enough to get people to talk shop without him rambling on about magazines, free porn and wedding photographers.

You know what ? Let him ramble, everyone else does, if you do not agree with his opinions , then dont look at his posts
Well, if there's a vote, I say unban him. No idea why he got banned but it was a run in with DamianJ I think (wasn't paying attention, sorry).
He's harmless, but rules I guess are rules so he got a wet kipper in the face to cool his banter down.
Very doubt it's a permanent banning....
While he's out though and unable to post, I might as well say that I couldn't stand his old-skool stance that the golden rules are xyz. Damn, he is stubborn!
He's just a pink troll that's fun to have around ;)

I do not mind Paul. Sure at times he is a bit much, but when that happens I use some level of self control to keep from taking the bait, just ignore him/his posts, or do not even bother to read them.
I have not been following this bullshit, but if Paul broke the rules, he should serve out his ban the same as anyone else. I suppose Eric could allow him to come back early if he would like to make a public, sincere apology to DamianJ for whatever it was that had gotten him banned.
The point here is, Paul simply had gotten wrapped up in the heat of the moment and apparently used bad choice of words, or bad judgement in whatever he had said. It can happen when you are relentlessly trolled day and night by the same people. We're all only human after all.
Paul can choose to serve out the remainder of the month ban per the rules, or I am sure he could contact Eric and work out a resolve. Either way, it is up to the MODS should a rule have been broken.
Paul is annoying at times, but at least he has some relevance in this industry. There are many more malicious trolls on this forum that deserve a ban beyond him. Paul may have needed a time out, and received it from the looks of it. But there are many others who relentlessly attack people and their business just because they do not like them. Those really should be the one's who should be getting the hammer dropped on them.
That being said, if Paul broke a rule, he should be treated the same as anyone else.
