someone directing over a gigabyte per second of IMCP to my sites
hi
I`ve got a sharing hosting account and this monday i realized all my websites hosted there were completly offline. The broswer return this error message: The connection was reset The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading. The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments. If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network connection. If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web. Was wondering if they were hacked so I have contacted the online support monday and i`ve got informed that a massive attack coming from thousands of different IP's to host IP address and impossible for them to block without completely disabling the IP address. This is how i figured it out why all the sites from this hosting account were dead and they were staied dead until today and counting. Have been working hard for more than 3 years at these local paid websites on daily basis and now everything seems to be ruined, including my reputation. Need to answer daily to all member`s emails and explain them the websites got attacked and i dont know what to do. Just contacted the online support again 4 hours ago and suggest them to block these attack ip addreses , solution which i have founded it after 5 days on google by searching and digging but no aswer yet from them. Seems I've no choice..i'm at the flooder's mercy, guess the websites will be back online only when the fucker stops the attack. I feel totaly lost in this trouble and i dont know what to do, please help me thank you |

A good host who cares can block many DoS attacks but it costs money. Most hosts will just null route the IP address and/or kick you out to get rid of the problem. Check out Webhostingtalk.com and ask if anyone there can help if your host isn't willing to do what it takes.
